    Just read back a bit. Rubes, do you have any idea how unwise it is to suddenly stop taking b.p. meds? Do you need for me to share a few horror stories with you? Trust me, I have quite a few.

      Ruby, I hear garlic is good for a sore throat...or salt water...I think with the garlic you boil it and drink the garlic water? Not sure- OR just pop a throat lozenge..And 5 bedrooms and 5 baths-way too big!

      Looks like our hot weather will be cooling down as of tomorrow- supposed to get some storms on and off through Thursday.

        Hey everyone. I've been surfing through antique rose catalogues online. Planning to order some Bourbon roses. I love the ruffled ones, and that the best fragrance of any rose I've ever found. Antique Rose Emporium.com
        Sun, you probably have a LOT of antiques, don't you. Or did they have furniture when you were born or just big rocks chiselled out to sit in? :H
        Not feeling much better, so may have to go to doc tomorrow. Yuck!

            Geez Ruby - that was a tad mean about the chairs being made of stone - after all, I am not that old! However, I was reading about the Redwood trees today and how old they are and it got me thinking about you......it was so sweet of you to plant them for everybody!!!

            I have had such a wonderful wonderful day today!! I have been out in the garden in mud. it really isn't planting dirt but I decided it would be. It was SO good to get out there and get hot and tired and weary from the garden - it always makes me feel SO good. I planted my beans and peas and some zucchini - need to get one more, planted a few pepper plants and some toms, and mowed and am exhausted! I also MUST iron tonight. At least enough for a few days. Then I will shower and collapse into bed, to get up at 5.00 tomorrow morning for the early shift! Oh I have SO enjoyed my day. NO RAIN. More tomorrow but none today - wonder of wonders.

            Fen - glad your mum is doing okay - how long will she be in the nursing place? will she mind that? Is it necessary?

            Fluff - good to see you here as usual. I hope that you don't get the bad storms like we did.

            Off to finish sorting out outside then to start the ironing.

                well been a great day and got more done but not done yet still alittle more and i start the garage floor with the help of anthonyand really the list is down to five things to get done .. so while i finish that ..anthony will be busy cleaning and bye the time it dry... painting time.. so that the way ill plan it.. but no rush really .. well looks like everyone is doing good .. fennel glad to hear your mom is doing good ... fluff..why arent you at work or are you but just playing .. ruby come on girl you better be resting dont push yourself take it easy a few days and then you can do whats needed .. ..sunshine glad to hear you had a great day and you even mowed the grass .. you are hired .. and well im just going to kick back and oh we dicided to just get a washer... the dryer can wait..it still has life in it... well it didn feels good to get a check in hand today.... but i still have to do some work on the truck..to make sure its ready willing for travel without any trouble ...
                well love and hugs one and all ...later gators

                    Sunny- I just got a Birthday card that was similar to what you said..it starts out looking like a serenity card with these redwoods around and talks about how they've been around for years and years -in fact centuries... and on the inside it says thank you for planting them...ha!ha!
                    Roger-I am a stay at home mom- who is now looking to work part-time- my first priority is the kids, their after school activities, and being there physically in the morning to make sure they get off to school okay...I used to be a children's wear designer in NY -back in the day before kids...it was a fun, creative job and I wish I could do it again..but , I sacrificed that individual identity to be who I am today...I did work part-time a coupla years ago- but they wanted me to work more hours- and so I had to leave...
                    It's always YOUR choice!

                        The nursing home stay would be very temporary. Actually, it will give me a little respite between this non-stop hospital stuff I've been doing. When she does move back home, yours truly will have to move in with her for a while.
