          Today is indeed a new day. Rained all day yest. Horrible day. Today, I'm down the park, the sun is out, the flowers are blooming, there's butterflies and ppl are smiling.
          It's the simple things in life I have learnt to appreciate.

                  They told me on Monday that they didn't have an issue with me going in six weeks and would advise. So I haven't had anything in writing so i chased it and they were like well, actually we need to reexamine our strategy for the sector you work in so until we do that, i can't say for definite that I works or us. And it is total BS because if I had resigned and went to another bank over here then I would be put on gardening leave and not be able to work anyway so that would actual be in a worse position!!! I think they will come good but I think I need to say that to them when I am back at work on Friday. And to think that I had a line for a week and I am going to go back early as a goodwill gesture. BASTARDS!

                                Basically I am going regardless and they know that - it wasn't exactly said but they know I have an opportunity and they know I have tight timescales and my boss even said - "what, you aren't going to take this job if we don't meet your timescales, come on". The thing is that I was going to leave before pay day (15th) but if they are going to be assholes about it, I will need to put it out a week to say (20th) which means having a chat with Santander. I am happy to do that and i don't think they are going to say no for one week.
                                At the end of the day, I am going and that's it. They can either make it easy or make it hard. I will break my contract but they are hardly going to sue me for six weeks. And if they did, I would just write to the papers because they don't need the bad press. It is totally unreasonable what they are doing.
