Good morning army,

a sober and hungry reccie reporting for sunday duty today. Think I must've forgotten to feed myself again yesterday. Been looking back through yesterday's thread, especially at my own comments and it makes for slightly painful reading. One or two things I wish I hadn't said, one or two things I don't even remember saying, all of them posted under the influence.

Cassia, chilly, yep I've been a bit inconsiderate by not taking into account sufficiently the effect some of my drunken posts have on other members of the army. Sorry. I'll try and tone it down a bit.

Cassia, you wondered how serious some people are about trying to sort out their AL issue. I can only say that I am serious about sorting out mine, though at times it may not look like it. Trying different approaches to getting off the booze, dealing with setbacks, and coming to terms with the need to deal with long-standing personal issues takes time. I learn a lot by coming here - about AL, about myself, and about life in general. Even when I'm drunk I learn. Personally I don't think there is anyone here that does not take their sobriety seriously, but you're perfectly entitled to hold a different opinion.

Anyway, that's enough about that. I hope everyone will continue to post here - those who need help and those who can offer it.

Trying to work on American time and steal time on other peoples computers! It is so big here(the states) and people don,t walk anywhere. They fecking drive to the corner store. I have not been able to keep up on the news and I am --grrr!!! Not liking it. Reccie - well done on a sober night! Treat yourself to something extra nice to eat.
I was feeling really over whelmed yesterday and everything really got to me, I'm sorry if you though I was having a go at you, I really wasn't and wish you so much strength in dealing with this awful addiction. :l

Cass was only expressing her thoughts and I felt she was really unfairly jumped on for doing what everyone keeps saying is important, and that's being honest. She never actually said people shouldn't post when drunk, she only made an observation that it had been happening a lot recently. I just wish we could sometimes accept each others opinions a bit more graciously.
