so you kinda know what your in for with cravings etc. I have to use diazepam to help me stop as my body throws are real shit-fit when I take it's beloved al away at first. I only need it for the first few days. After that I get along fine without it.

Believe in yourself Inchy - you can do it and when you look back on it you will thank yourself and wonder why it took you so long to start.

i am so lucky in that being young, at least last time my body did not react too badly, felt a little sick and went insomniac for a couple of weeks, but to be honest right now thats enough to put me off the AF idea. I feel bad saying that knwoing how much other people go through when they stop, but I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to facing the idea of a completely sober lifestyle

Give it a go and then make a decision, can I challenge you to 90 days and then see how you feel. I think you need at least 90 days to get a grasp on what sobriety is like.

This is goign to sound liek an excuse but honestly, 90 days stright is no way going to happen when I have two heavy metal festivals coming up, I know thats a dumb thign to say but I give myself 2 holidays a year and honestly, with the best will in the world I don't think any human being would find being sober at Download easy - and I hardly ahve the best will in the world. I will take a look at things tomorrow though, I will plan things and see if I can't start at least stringing together a bit of AF time, dip my toes so to speak and then later this year Zeppie, I'll give you those 90 days

haha, yeah I know, but I'm not ready to contemplate a sober festival just yet, hard enough contemplating an AF week day let alone being the only sober person in a camp full of drunks, if I feel that I would like to nearer the time i'll do it, but I'm nto going to make a guarentee about that amount of time when I knwo theres a good chance I could get as far as those dates and then screw up, feel bad, and probably run away and hide for another couple of years xD

I understand Inchy - I'm not picking on you - I am just speaking from experience because I wasted years saying the same thing, there was always something on the horizon that would need some alcohol with it.
