Hmmm she has a point, but if it were say 500 deaths in Africa it probably wouldnt get a mention till near the end of the news if at all. Not right but thats the way of the world, I fear.
The royal wedding is no more than a few hours of escapism for most people I reckon.
There are a couple of people I know who stopped listening to our national tv & radio in the past year because it was one depressing story after another in Ireland. If its not the loss of jobs, young people having to emigrate in their thousands, people in dire straights with negative equity and raising mortgages they have no ability to pay. Its just all too much to hear on a daily basis, every day and I havent even mentioned the shower of top bankers paying themselves huge golden handshakes with taxpayers money or the cute hore politicians.
Anyway I better get off of my soapbox before I fall and give my head a good bang.
