    Morning lovlies,

Humble grovellings for being so bloody AWOL lately. Have been up to my eyelashes in work. Love it to bits but it is taking up my MWO time. Will read back as I am anxious to catch up with shennanigans and whoopla etc. Alls well in the Safster household....sober as a judge and loving every millisecond of my life. Luv yas all xxx

          Lunchtime check-in from me ...

MrG's always right. Grey skies and drizzle disappeared and sure enough - there were blue skies above all the time.

Techie - good luck with the purchase. We want photos, esp. of the view.

Raggsy - when are you off on your next adventure?

Saffy - great to see the purple streak flash by.

Fluff - we tend to only change them for special occasions.

Hiya HP - you're special, you know. Very special.

Vroooom. Back to the great outdoors.

Undies, I am being persecuted within my own home.
I realised this after reading an article yesterday re: Hudson, K.
When you're taking life advice from Kate Hudson, it's time to up the anti.
            My child is persecuting me.
            The dogs are persecuting me.
The cat is making a complete meal of me.
The housemate is lazy and therefore persecuting me by default.
Hence Cinderella did not drop to her knees and scrub as pre ordained today, but took herself to the hairdressers and beautician. May as well be a well groomed bitch.
And this bitch won't be cooking for any arsehole tonight either.

            That is all.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Techie - having a hard time with my running! My joints are not what they were :upset: Taking fish oil and glucausomine/chondriton, but knees and hips and ankles are complaining.

My strategy for this year was to keep the swimming up, and gradually build up the running KMs, and focus on the bike next year. Now I'm wondering whether I should do the biking first - partly because it is easier to fit into everyday (as in biking to work and back) and it might help to lose some weight that is probably contributing to the joint probs. What distance do you ride for a training ride??

And sometimes I think I might just aim to be the oldest person to swim Cook Strait!! I do love my swimming and it is the one bit of exercise that I never have to be pushed into!

Bridge - my groupy-gropey thing last week spent two hours talking about boundaries. I didn't quite understand it at the time but thought about it all weekend.

Having read your post about the boy being grounded for being dis-respectful, I can only applaud your actions. Bridge: this is a boy that needs more boundaries rather than fewer. You are doing good.

If your flatmate is doing the same, than I can only suggest that (like me) we bring it on ourselves! :H:H My big row with Mr B last week was after the session about boundaries. What I realised afterwards was that my attempt to establish them was a bit wishy-washy. It left him (Mr B) a bit confused about what I wanted, when really I should have been more direct and specific. As in: "I really like steamed carrots and broccoli" as opposed to " Steamed vegies are good"

As for the cats and dogs, well I reckon you should just shut them outside for the night!!!
