Re olives: My vast olive grove consists of three trees (:H), the largest one of which has just produced it's first crop. Really can't say how long I've had it because it's been totally neglected. I have never watered it and it grows in very poor, rocky soil very similar to what I saw them growing in in Greece. Maybe the unprecedented rainfall we had earlier in the year kicked it into action but I've picked about three quarters of a bucket. They've been sitting in a 1:10 salt/water brine which I changed daily for almost four weeks and i think by the weekend they will no longer show any bitterness and I can decant them into smaller lots and add some aromatics. I'm thinking rosemary, garlic & chili. It's been a fun first time experiment.

Ta Froggy, I will try not to be a bug with too many questions but I probably will.
Just found out my father-in-law is staying with us for 3 weeks in June/July. He does this twice a year. I didnt think he'd make it this year for one reason or another. Lets just say I am not at my best when he visits.

Evening all.
I am bollixed again, but had a super productive day.
I can't believe the mo fo is now worth that. Just as well it's for bloody charity or I'd have a lot more to say about it.
Now I made contact with my mate again today, the one who had that bloody big drinking drama a while back.
I'm REALLY happy to report that she has really did straighten up and fly right. Has joined a meditation class, adopted a whole new philosophy including vegetarianism, a new spiritual class, keeps very busy, and almost never gets cravings. I was a bit puzzled by some of her comments. She said she doesn't make decisions any more, she just goes with the flow. I'm thinking that one makes a decision not to drink, but she said no, you just have to do what feels right for you, she doesn't make decisions. She has a lot of councilling and support. I'm really pleased for her. I just hope this isn't the pink cloud.
Maybe it is just simply easier for some people that others ? ...but she seems to think that one must reach their own 'bottom'...in one's own way and time .
Anyway I'll tuck that one away for another time. I'm too bloody tired to think about it.
Happy, I do hope you have your urchin back with you now. I can see that you didn't miss him at allIf your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Mofo was on 7pm project last night. Newsworthy??? Yep, I get the charity angle so happy for that.
I am very curious about the no decision making. Must get my head around how that works...
BUT, my babys back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At this risk of sounding like the super cluck I already sound like, HAPPY is not the word. Had a ball, complaining about crap food, loved the activities. He had one :upset: night he said and sang a Sponge Bob song to cheer himself up. And we had to watch a you-tube of Diddy singing Coming Home. And we had to go to Hungry Jacks for after camp junk - had a coffee please note. And Bridge - and I dont think this is true - but one of the boys had a thermometer (??!!) which said minus 11 degrees. We have tried to work that one out but will let it rest coz MY BOYS BACK!!
Talk amongst yourself whilst I snuggle...
