good morning all possums and thanks to Mr G for starting us off!

I have spent the morning being domestic - spring bulbs planted (sort of seemed appropriate on MAy 1!) and got some cheap as chips violas to fill some spaces in the front garden. Have more spaces, but I am planning on getting the house painted later this year, and it will require scaffolding to be erected in the front garden, so I'm not going to spend lots of money on plants that will be treated unfavorably in 4 months time!

I am unhealthily obsessed with a new rubbish bin that I bought yesterday :H Dealing with rubbish and compost is one of Those Issues on which Mr B and I frequently have words!! I like to compost as much as possible, but Mr B tends to stick stuff in the "other rubbish" bin, mainly because he cant be bothered taking compostables out to the compost bin (it is a bit of a hike!!). And the "other rubbish" bin is one of those Brabantia ones that look nice, but the inner plastic bucket has over the years cracked and broken to the point where I am sure it is a health hazard. Anyway, at Bunnings yesterday I found a dual purpose rubbish bin - half rubbish, half compost. And I managed to get bio-degradable bags, so there is now no excuse for being easily able to pick up the bag and drop it off. And it perfectly fits a little space in the kitchen so that it is out of the way.

I'm sure my life used to be a bit more exciting than plants and rubbish bins???? :H

              Morning all,

I spent the morning sleeping. My husband has a hangover from going out the night before with the "guys." My husband is not a drinker by any means, and he only goes out with the guys once a year. Plus he only has one kidney. So it's so nice to not be the hungover one. I am looking forward to kicking some serious arse this May! I am 1 day from my first goal of 30 days. I'm going to try and spend the next hour convincing myself to go to the gym while I nurse a coffee. Have a lovely arvo everyone!

Dull and overcast today but I've just taken some pics of the lovely autumn foliage. I'll just be in the darkroom for a bit.

I think MrG's girl should borrow a comb. Her hair is not very neat and tidy.

Going for a Sunday arvo nanna nap. Because I can. But ... I now want to eat Indian food. To get some I'd have to drive for an hour. Not going to happen.

I dont think the boys were looking at her hair somehow.

I had a Malai Kofta - potato and paneer in an almond based curry sauce. Havent been able to find this dish in forever.

Have my bliss boots on today, so look out all!

Sounds like a lovely Sunday all 'round!

TF - you must have some lentils and rice in your pantry??? Plus good spices?? No excuse for not having a decent Indian!!!

I had a lovely afternoon - Mum had one of her good days, and was keen on going out, so we went and ambled around the garden shop. Then came back here and she weeded my pots while I made pikelets and tea. Also got to show her the most recent photos of her great-grandchildren on the i-pad. Have a nice warm fuzzy feeling and my garden looks good too!
