i've had the nephew here for a week, so sort of understand where you're all coming from. but i'm not a mum, at least to anything without fur & feathers. the nephew is gunna be an alright bloke, even though his mum is sinlge & his dad is an arsehole, thanks mainly to time on the farm with real blokes like his grandad & his uncle (aka my FIL & my hubby). go figure.
sometimes i wish i could have been a mum.
in the meantime, i miss my Lentl & love my dogs with everything i have.
going to bed now.
thanks to you all for my birthday wishes, sorry i did not respond to them directly.
going to try & be on here more often, i guess you all know why.
nighto creatures & be back on tomoz.
tawny, am subscribing to the Smelly Cheese club in S.A to get some gourmet cheesies sent over.....pure bliss me thinks.
hello to all. hugs to all. i'm going to try & hug myself & calm this farm, altho pushing shit uphill might be easier.

Hmmmmm, just got done reading all of todays post. I don't have kids yet but when I do I will definitely come here for advice. There was a lot of good advice from all of you, I was really enjoying it.
I also love the links on here, like lasts nights My big fat gypsy wedding. I am now going to have to have a look at the smelly cheese. I am up pretty lat, might be for awhile! Hope everyone has a good sleep. See you all in the morning!

P.S. I'm not sure how many of you remember a N.Z. sister called 'Kaponium' from a year or so ago? She's back, and sounds in good shape. I saw her on the Army thread going by the name 'Kapone'. Hope she drops in. Lady Jan is back over there too.

Morning Missy, Mr G and all underoos! Glorious day in Briz have dropped locusts and walked and breakfasted and will trot down to yoga before doing some hours in the dungeon aka office.
No advice on the parenting front Bridge, not really sure from one day to the next if doing a good job or if totally suck. After this mornings bathroom war - littlest broke the one in room rule, I guess I muttered loudly - I dont wake up every day planning to yell and be a bitch so dont wake up planning to beat your brother up. Ahhh but the serentiy now...
Would like update on smelly SA cheeses please froglet. Also I want - no I need a mushroom kit, is Bunnings the place or is there something better?
Great day to all, No Stray May is working for me. I dont have those conversations in my head starting in the morning, although I guess that way your never alone eh? Orf now!

Morning UNderoos,
I stayed up a wee bit late (3:30am.) I woke up at 6:30am, back to bed at 8ish, back up at 10:30ish. Jeesh! Sleep deprivation is not a pretty sight when worn by me. It's a day off for me so I will do errands I suppose, and perhaps read.
Hello M.B. and hp!
Mr. G., speeding tickets are a great way to reduce ones bank account. I once got a ticket in California for doing 100 miles per hour. By the time I paid it (1 year later,) it was already at the $750 mark.
Hope all have a wonderful day. I have to get a mothers day package off to my mom (in California.) I know it won't get there in time, but I think it's the thought that counts!

Morning/afternoon/day/night underlings,
Just climbed off the couch that I have been languishing on since 9.30 this morning. Reading and revelling in my free time and taking time to peacefully reflect on how wonderful life really is when you have finally ironed out the self-imposed wrinkles.
'The road is smooth, why do we throw rocks before us"? I finally get this and believe it whole-heartedly. By and large we do have a lot to do with making our lives bumpier than is necessary. There are different ideas about why this is....mine goes along these lines: We throw the rocks to trip ourselves up and fall flat on our face. We learn that falling on our face hurts and stop throwing that particular rock. We choose another rock to throw and same thing happens: fall arse over tit, dont go much on it, dont throw that rock again. and on and on and on we go throwing, falling learning, getting straight back up.
Over the past eight weeks, I have thrown very few rocks and am currently in remission from self-imposed misery. Cant say that I wont be looking for a new rock, but I am sure that it wont be a blooody great boulder, maybe a pebble. Ah blissful happy days.
What do you think folks? I'd love some discussion on this rock thing.I am a part of the family of humanity. Not one person on this earth is a stranger to me. Rev. Ted Noffs
