By the way, would you like a loan of my front end loader to rid your path of rocks?

Arvo all,
And, in no particular order ...
Saffy - I think if we actually picked up all those rocks and used them to built something beautiful like a mandala or a wall, we'd eventually see that we needed to fall arse over tit, many times, to end up with a solid and beautiful structure. And the structure would serve to remind us.
And reading back - what lovely, lovely posts last night. As a non-parent I have no words of advice. I was raised in the dark ages when parents were still allowed to smack their kids and you know, I can't remember getting a single smack. Just hearing the rattling of the wooden spoon drawer seemed to pull us into line. Politically correct? I doubt it but I don't think I was traumatised in any way. Please note *** I'm NOT for a moment suggesting kids should be smacked but agree with Bridge that a lot of the PC bullshit has created a metaphoric rod for parental backs.
HP and Bridge - thanks for asking - grumpage needed some work but has now abated. Took deep breaths and repeated after self - "Idiots are people too. Idiots are people too".
Sunshine ... you sure keep odd hours!
Orf into the arvo sun. Seems both girls had an RDO today. Slackers.

I like the rock analogy. It's different. Let's take all the rocks and make a rock wall. The bottom will be the beginning of the lesson. The top is what we have come away from with all the steps we taken on the rocks to get to the top.
It's raining and drizzly on the gold coast. Unlike you relaxing peeps, I am having one of those Terrible, no good, very bad days, or aka murphys law is ruling Tuesday. Hope every one is enjoying theirs though. I am just getting to have my first cup of coffee. YAY for that!

Afternoon all, crap weather headed from somewhere - not from you on the goldie Sunny? Anyway nearly had a prang heading back from northside, drains around Suncorp still backing up and it was a tad hairy there.
Tawny, like you, never ever belted, touched, smacked or slapped as a child. But lived in fear of Mums slipper or Dad's belt. How does that work? Anyway like you not advocating a slap, just a mutual respect and realisation that we as parents are people too. So there, said me piece.
Good to see you around Sapphy girl! Hoping only for pebbles myself this next few years..
And Rags, must add admiration for suit, it did get lost in the stuff of the last day or so.
