I remember seeing the reef 40 years ago and it was so vibrant healthy and full of colour and fishies. Now it is all beigey coloured with only an occassional bit of colour. Will post a couple of (dreadful) pics when I get back home.

I finally made it to Cairns in October. I thought it was lovely, I would have loved to have seen the reef 40 years ago. I did get to see some reef, turtles, sharks, fishes, rays. It is a shame it is deteriorating. Back in the US it is such a big destination spot for AU bound travelers. We consider it one of the must sees in the world of wonder.

        Welcome back MB!!!!

Now everyone else, I see it's 9:30, so most of you are probably off to bed by now. So I hope you are all enjoying your nights. Now if only someone would make cake batter ice cream and sell it at the store so I could have it at home!

Rags! thats so not good and confirms a lot of things coming down from staff and friends off the islands. I think its hard all round. Some islands are precariously on the edge of the big B.

Stuff it - heading to beds. Watched Angry Boys wit ma 2 boyz - yep going to bed - Nighters

                  Morning all Undies,

Another good thing (if you haven't already done it) is take the train to Kuranda up in the rainforest. Pretty spectacular trip. Kuranda very touristy but up by train, down by Sky rail is a worthwhile exercise.

Oh, how I wish I could transport myself up there at this very minute.

Back after I've read the papers and done other important stuff ...

A vegetarian soy roast Sunshine? err, look, i think you might need a lay down, a bex, and a nice cup of tea love. You've been working far too hard.

                    Hi Rags!

                      Goo morning unders,
I might just be at work on time this morning, such a novel idea. I am hitting the coffee cup hard.
Looks to be a semi gloomy partial cloudy day here on the gold coast. Now it's raining. Well I am getting ready for work. Boss is coming in. Will be another long day. Tomorrow is another story. See you all tonight. Have a lovely day!

                          Oh Aspy,

I've been thinking about your step 8 letter dilemma. If it was me, i reckon i'd be writing and posting the apologies. I think if we are truly sorry for something, we need to say it. And if the other person doesn't want to hear it, that's okay too, in my opinion.

Goodness it is busy this morning! I was just contemplating what cheerful names we have on this thread - Myhappyplace, sunshine, kaza, beagle (just because beagles are so cute!) .........

Another day in the office with no meetings - yay!! I have masses of work to do but I'm tempted to spend all day on MWO just because I can. :H

I went to Cairns a couple of years ago and really loved it. As for Port Douglas, I've promised myself that if I ever get a terminal illness and have a limited life ahead, I'm going to spend my last days there.

I've been a bit grumpy and out of sorts over the last couple of weeks, but it is just starting to lift. About time too! I've been really busy and I get resentful about that (which always leads to drinking thinking), plus it always results in my dropping out of the exercise regime. So I walked in to work this morning and formulated a new plan. (Actually just re-activating the old one which is tried and true)

Must go and see what the Army is up to!!
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Mr G - I havent heard of bex for years. My folks lived on them. That and the ciggies. Not drinkers strangely enough.

Well its the big locusts birthday today - 16 - and hes on study break for exams. Which might call for the magic burger shop for lunch. Just got to polish off some work first and get out a heap of the football manager crap stuff. Raining here so will pass on a walk, just gunna have a cuppa and take it all in.

Sunny - you make me smile, you are full speed ahead with everything.
