Hi All
I've just logged on, so I guess I've missed part of the conversation. When are the inlaws arriving Happy? I hate animal cruelty as well, and I can't watch anything that involves same. I also can't watch or read anything involving cruelty to another human being especially a child - I get nightmares over those things.Why can't the world all over be like the Undies Drawer, warm, caring, safe and comforting? Being in here is like being snuggled up in a toasty warm bed while the weather rages outside. Well dear friends, thought I'd just pop in and say Hi, Mr K and a friend of ours are on their way to take me out to lunch. Will talk soon. Thanks Kaz. I think the Undies have turned that dark and loomy thing into a little sun spot. It'll only get me if I let it, if you know what I mean. And I'm going to do what Bridge says and make the most of the time with MIL, she is a fantastic person and I only see her once a year in person, just skype otherwise.

Really dont know how I let it get to me today, I mean its a month away for dogs sake. I hope I never gain the power of oppression.

Right, going to pick me some radicchio. Gorgeous but chilly 18 degrees, the wind is up which probably explains my mood and I dont mean from the lentil soup last night.

I was earlier today. Terribly important. Even made an international telephone call. Am orf to Ballarat tomorrow for the day and night so just getting stuff organised for that. Ballarat or Bendigo are the closest biggish towns where I can stock up on tasty comestibles. Unfortunately, Ballarat is a bloody cold place. Pretty but cold.

Stayed at Ballarat a couple of times. It is pretty, but your right, pack the thermals and a hottie. Water bottle that is.

Hi All,

How is everyone?

Just wanted to report in that things are going in the right direction here. I saw my doctor last week and got some blood tests done. One has already come back saying I have low levels of vitamin B12, which probably explains why I feel crap all the time. There are more test results to come back and waiting for these means I don't get to see my doctor for another week.

She has also referred me to a psychiatrist (now know as shrink as I am not looking in the dictionary every time I type psychiatrist) to discuss my on going battles with depression.

I haven't left the husband as I want to get my head and body right before making any big decisions.

All in all, I'm feeling pretty good as I am on my way to getting better.

Just had the most horrendous afternoon. Was walking my beloved Lucy at lunch time when a young man approached me and said that she was his dog. Apparently he lost two Staffs a while back and she was one of them!!!!!! Well the ground came up to meet me and I couldnt get my breath. Sanity prevailed and I rushed home to ring the dogs home. After about three hours I got the news that she coudnt possibly be his as she was surrendered two months before his dogs were lost. Phheeww......I had thought up heaps of scenarios about how I would cope giving her up, how she would cope etc. etc. Anyways I am here one very releived Safster.

Tawny your trip to Ballarat sounds great, I spent a bit of time roaming around those parts in the late 90's. Good to see you CW and her that you are well.

Off to the gym to train some poor unsuspecting wench. She will bear the wrath of my near miss.

Hello Undies!!

Just saw Saffs post. What a horrible and frightening thing to have happen to you. I would have totally freaked if someone told me that Freddie belonged to them. He was a stray so it could have easily happened. So happy for you that Lucy isn't that guy's dog, since you and she have bonded so well.:h:h

Tawny, I checked out that hotel. The decor is stunning, such rich tapestries and lovely wooden furniture and the draperies are fantastic but the prices are, well, a bit out of proportion I'd say. But then, not knowing hotel prices in Australia, maybe they are logical. Still, it sounds like a lot of money just to stay in a room even if it is so beautifully decorated. I guess the daily newspaper is what makes it worth the money.
