Up at the crack of sparrows here. Bridge-mobile washed and ready to be polished and vacced down there. This is a very rare treat for the Bridge-mobile.

Dog is next, though she doesn't know it. A 42 kilo golden retriever can lead one a merry chase if she overhears anything.....like V-E-T.

Ok Spunksters. I am planning a home day and lurkage`.
Bridge - keys to mine are in the usual place. Can you please blacken the tyres this time.

Presume the dog to be cleaned is the canine and not the "dog in the sky" one :H:H

I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
        Of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
To allow my living to open me,
        To make me less afraid,
        More accessible,
        To loosen my heart
        Until it becomes a wing,
        A torch, a promise.
        I choose to risk my significance;
To live so that which came to me as seed
Goes to the next as blossom,
        Goes on as fruit.

          Good Morning
All you lovely people - so great to read your posts, it always brightens my day, hearing your warm wishes. Hi Happy good to talk to you again, yes, it will be a new way of life for a while having No 1 son home to live, but I'm sure it will all work out just fine. When you have kids, you do have em for life that's for sure, and really that's what being a parent is all about hey? Being there for your kids in the good and the bad times. We are picking him up tonight at 5.15pm. He texted me from Perth to say he'd arrived there safely, and catches the plan at 12.15pm - which is in just under 45 minutes. His bed is made and is favourite food is in the fridge, so he will be happy. Thanks Tawny and Guitarista for your kind thoughts. Well my dear friends, all take and enjoy the rest of your Friday. Have a fabulous weekend everyone and Love and Sunshine Always. Kaz x

Good midday Kaza and the gang.
Yes we were deluding ourselves when we allowed ourselves to think.....just wait til he's 18, then I'll take the backpack out of storage, and off I go.....

              Guess what ?
              I've got a white car !
              Who knew ?

I'm zorsted, and haven't even made it to the dog yet. Looking a bit nervous and disconcerted she is at all this activity (do NOT like where this is going AT ALL)

              Food. Must have food.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

                  Hi Sunshinetoday and Guitarista
I reckon I must have gone to the wrong place when I didn't see you replies. Not lonely anymore Guitarista, it would be very hard to stay that way with all you lovely people around. My aon ia coming from interstate Sunshine, he was with a lovely girl, but unfortunately after quite a long time together she decided to move on, and my son seems to have had bad luck ever since. Whereas my No 2 son has met a truly lovely girl and they are both living happily ever after (they came up from Canberra just for Mother's Day). We had a fabulous day - they arrived on the Saturday at lunchtime, and left on the Monday afternoon, it wasn't very long, but it was priceless and I was over the moon to see them. I watch RBT Sunny. I am now feeling very upbeat, Mr K and I have thrown out some feelers, so hopefully we will be able to help No 1 get on his feet pretty quickly. It must have been terribly hard for him to ring me for help, he is incredibly proud and doesn't like to not in be control of his life. But living with us he's got no option but to enjoy life - we'll make sure of that. We have the V8 Supcars up here next month and one of the drivers and his wife stay with us each time they come up and we have been talking via email a lot lately, Our friend is determined to get me to go around the track and has also offered to take my son around for a lap too and give us tickets. My son was very excited when I told him and is really looking forward to it, he just loves fast cars (don't all boys)? So that's the start of his nex exciting life in the Territory. Gee as usual I have waffled on again. Love and Sunshine to you all. Kaz x

Nearly didnt post the poem thingy. Having dark thoughts but getting through.

Kaz your sons initiation into Territory life sounds brilliant. And I could've guessed you'd get behind the wheel.

Just got back from the Indian shop with studying boy. Bought sensational vege samosas for lunch and incense and tamarind paste and something called kithul jaggery which he intends to torture cashews with, had big confab with fella in the shop and he will now be pottering for the afternoon.

Lemon curd is great and the tartier the better Bridgey.

                          Hi BBJ
You're very right of course, but we really wouldn't have it any other way would we. It's nice to know that the kids want to come home and know they can if they have to for whatever reason. Are you planning on bathing the dog BBJ? I have a long haired German Shepherd, who is not overly fond of her bath at all. But we have mobile Hydro Dog come to our house and the dog is led in and has a spa type bath, blow dry, brush, nails trimmed etc, she comes out looking gorgeous, it's not expensive - $25, well I don't hink it is for what the dog gets done. Takes around 45 minutes. Hey Tawny that lemon curd recipe does look luscious, it is exactly the same as my mum-in-law used to make when she came to stay, I used to have to stand at the stove and do the stirring, brings back lots of great memories. Hi Happy
I really thought your poem thingy was great. Yes, I'm busy planning things to get his chin up it will all be goood, he's on the plane now so not long to go to 5.15 tonight. Vege samosas - h'mm love them and tamarind is great. I just love Indian food and I've now realised I'm starving. Never heard of kithful jaggery is it a spice, I guess it is if he's going to torture cashews with it, you must let me know the outcome - nothing much Indian where I am, we do have a couple of Indian restaurants, but Mr K is not as passionate about Indian as me. Shame really. But he quite happily eats it if I cook it - go figure! I would have thought the authentic would be the way to go. But maybe being the fabulous husband he is he's just humouring me! Probably the case. Hee Hee. Love and Sunshine Kaz xx

Here you go. You apparently use jaggery to make chikki.

Glad he is the sort of kid he is. Although he spent 15 minutes chewing off the poor little guys ear and getting notes to google. Looks like something sweet for afternoon tea.
