    Hello everyone.

    Fennel - Did you get your gas leak taken care of???? SCARY!!!!

    Sunni - I have been sleeping at least 9-10 hours a night. Last night was even more. Some of it is AF I'm sure and also depression. Fen is right.

    Talked to my therapist today. She is really pushing me to hit my AA meeting on Monday. Told her I would definitely try.

    Hey - RC - of course you should post where you are at. Glad you are back to staying within your limits.

    Rubes - who are the VIP's that are coming?

    DA - Good for you for taking a break. It is a good thing.

    Well - back to cleaning & going thru papers. I'll be back.

        Swannie - sorry I haven't got back to you - you know what it is like!!! I am doing fine - just not a lot other than sleeping and working. Will e-mail you. :l:l:l And they don't have anything like crumpets here although I have been able to get them in our local schnucks sometimes. Marmite is definitely the topping of choice !! or choice of topping - whichever!! Thanks Nora for your take on it and I think you are right - partly depression too - I don't think it is me catching up on sleep from when I was drinking RC - I have had tons of energy my entire life - I have a great metabolism. I am not tired during the day - someone said I just want to get my AF day over with hence going to bed early! LOL maybe that is true!! The thing is when I quit and was AF last year for 8 months, I never got my early morning get up and go back - and I missed it so much 'cos I LOVE getting up at the crack of dawn. I feel as if I am wasting half the day when I don't get up until 8 or 9. Anyway I shall plod on. Thank you Rog for your gentle subtle reminder. LOL

        Fen - hope you got your gas leak taken care of! Goodness me - how scary! What had happened? Oh and crumpets aren't sweet at all BTW - they are savoury and need to be slathered with butter and then as Swannie said, topped with Marmite. yum.

        RC - yes, you should post the info - why shouldn't you? It is good for you to let us know you are trying and actually succeeding in not going off the rails..... well done.

        I need to do a few things then am heading for bed!!

            Thanks to my keen sense of smell, I was able to detect a gas leak in my home before it became problematic. The gas company guy couldn't detect the scent, but those guys never can! His high tech machinery confirmed my nose. He tightened up the gas valve and a pipe. Now everything is fine. This has happened to me before, so it's not a big deal. I smell gas, the guys can't, they use their machinery to detect that there is a leak, and they fix it. Problem solved. Why don't guys have the sense of smell that we gals have?

              Fennel- You are soooooright! The same thing happened to me with our stove- I kept saying to my husband that I smell gas- and he couldn't...finally I called GE and the guy came out and detected a leak in the oven...
              Hope everyone has a super Sunday-just waking up late here- and need to get my coffee...

                Hi Y' all,
                Sorry I have not been around much this weekend. Had a RSPCA walk this am with the pups on the beach and hundreds of dogs. Awesome! Heading off to sleep while most of you are on your sunday morning! Hope you all are having a good weekend!

                    Good Morning from a cold wet Illinois! Rained the whole of yesterday and it looks as if today might be more of the same. SST - how lovely to have your RSPCA walk on the beach with all the dogs - awesome!! Hope you get a good nights sleep. I did. LOL Woke up earlier this morning but went back to sleep, then youngest daughter called to say she was on her way over - then a 2nd phone call with her barely coherent - finally got her to stop sobbing long enough to understand she had run over some baby ducks that were crossing the INTERSTATE with their mum - (she hadn't hit the mum) - I told her that they would probably be fine as long as she didn't actually go over any of them - so she went back and looked - and there were no little balls of fluff in the road!! Thank goodness. She was SO upset - as I can understand. It would have ruined her entire day - she was so distraught.

                    Glad you got the gas sorted Fen - hope you have a good day today. Where is everybody else this morning? Fluff - nice that you got to sleep in too.

                    Off to phone mum, then have a few errands to run then am going to plant carrots in the rain - they HAVE to go in.

                      Why can't I sleep in on the weekend????? So upsetting.

                      Glad you've got a good nose Fennel. I've always said that about squirrels. :H

                      Not much going on here today I hope. My neck has been hurting so bad for the past couple of days. Just rubbed some icy/hot on it and just resting.

                            Backing out a bit from so much posting on my part. You guys do really well without me hanging over you all the time.
                            My VIP's are one of your fav journeyers and his other half. I've spent my days really trying to spruce up for the Very Important Visit. We've just cleaned out a storage building, and I found things I haven't seen in years. Maybe another possibile 'guest cottage'?
                            I'm really hoping Vick has had a great weekend, enjoyed herself and not overdone. It's a very special day, when your daughter marries, fraught with tons of emotions. I have to say my daughter's was one of the most special days in my memory.
