Fennel-I am so glad that your Mom is settled and has perked up! It sounds like she will be back to her normal self in no time. You should sleep peacefully tonight. Jan....I don't think it matters about my frustrations to the 3 Rogers (me, myself and I-I think he said)...I think we should worry about poor Sue having to put up with so many of him! I'm glad your Dad is good. Fluff-you are so right about the air conditioning at night and heater in the morning.....I'm afraid I'm gonna break our poor system by confusing it!

Okay, Vicki, I saved you for last. You absolutely must take better care of yourself - no matter what. What would any of us do without you? You encourage me so much and I treasure your friendship. Now what else can you be doing so that you don't go into a coma or have seizures? I need to learn more about diabetes.....so I can help you. Does your doctor know that this has been happening? You know you are always in my prayers and especially now with the added stress of the wedding. Call me when you can.

Fen - so glad that your mom is in her room at the nursing home - one step closer to home. And I am so pleased that it gives you a little breathing space - you need it.

Jan - the weather is fine - just hated the frost on the windscreen again this morning. I thought we were finished with that - I had wanted to ride my bike this morning !

Hubs has taken my cell phone charger in to work with him (why???) so my cell phone is dead - so if anyone need to call me and don't know my home number, PM me !!!

Goodmorning everyone, I hope you are well.

Vicki, I am so glad you are OK. It does sound like you went through quite a day yesterday. Your body must still hurt today I hope that you feel better today, work out the knotted muscles, and have an great time leading up to the wedding.

My son has his first piano recital tonight, should be great. He has been practising pretty well. Although some nights, trying to get him to practice is like trying to catch a chicken. Some warmish air is finally here, and the grass is turning a little more green. The lakes have broken up finally, and the ice is gone.

Hi Hill and Grateful- Hill, How old is your son? My daughter took piano lessons for a couple of years and then moved on to another instrument- I remember the recital days...Hope he does well.
Hi Grateful- We finally have a sunny day!
Nothing much going on here today-Just going out to get some flowers to put on the front steps-and around the pool. We need to replace some plants that died that are around the pool pump- they were really pretty flowering orange plants and for some reason they just started to die. here's a pic of them...

Hill, I took piano lessons through most of my childhood. Used to walk a mile in the country to the lessons, year round. We wouldn't think of letting our kids do that now.

Good Morning everyone - oh Fen! You know that Nutella is bad for you!! Good Morning Hill - how exciting for you re your sons recital - I do hope it goes well - is he nervous? Also, lovely to finally start seeing green, I know I love it each year when we do!

Hi Grateful - hope you are well today and have a fine day at work! How is Biz doing these days? You take care today and have a great day my friend. Some of the seeds that I planted the other day were nicotania - they smell absolutely lovely at night and I always plant them near the back door so when I come home late from work, I can smell them as I walk round the back. They really scent the air so well.

Hallo Fluffy - loved you catching Fen in the act!! She knows it is bad for her though.... How lovely that you have a pool - I would love one but my garden isn't big enough. Those flowers were so pretty. Guess they didn't like being near the pump - does it get warm there with the pump going?

Hey Sunny- Nicotania? Is that related to nicotine? I'm going to google that...
The flowers were there for about 4 years- and now they're just all brown dead, plants- the pool equipment shouldn't be the problem it doesn't get hot- I think it might be grubs or something else...oh, well...I need to replace them with something that grows pretty big- like fountain grass...I have that on the deep end of the pool....

Various Nicotiana species, commonly referred to as tobacco plants, are cultivated and grown to produce tobacco. Of all Nicotiana species, Cultivated Tobacco (N. tabacum) is the most widely planted and is grown worldwide for production of tobacco leaf for cigarettes. The genus is named in honor of Jean Nicot, who in 1561 was the first to present tobacco to the French royal court. Nicotiana germination is usually 2–5 days in 27 ?C (81 ?F) weather.
It's is poisonous to children and pets, though, so be careful with it.
Fen, I'm so happy your mom feels better. We know the feeling of liking the comfort of staying in a small, safe environment, but when we're forced out into the beautiful world, it's invigorating!! She may feel the same way when she leaves the nursing home, but it's all a step forward.
Grace and I spent hours yesterday painting a flower pot, which I'll decorate, and we're going to put a flower in it for her to give the EX on mother's day. In 19 years, that woman gave us little or nothing for any event, but it's important to Grace to have something special for her, so I'm doing it for Grace.
Very cool and windy here, post storms. Temporary, of course. For all you who have lately joined the party, the meet up is open to everyone. We have a cabin on a stream in the North Georgia mountains, and there's more to do up there than you could do in a month. So I'll be posting more details now.

Those flowers are very beautiful....but I'm worried about them being poisonous to children & pets....I don't think Addy would try to eat them, but you never know about the dogs.....
