Sorry Fen - better give me advance notice and then I can make sure Sadie is inside! She is so fast - I am going to have to make noise when I go outside as there is always at least one of your relatives near or at the feeder!! It would freak me out if she got one!!!!

Oh - did you mean post 615 old lady????? I thought post 615 read MRI was an hour and a half !!! LOL - Guess we are both old !!! As for squirrel recipes - well that is just sick!!!

Have been reading about the tornado that went through Joplin MO - that was the storm system that went through here last night but we only got the very bottom of it. Wow - the tornadoes this year are really awful. 89 dead so far. We have more storms coming through again this afternoon/evening - but they are hitting Joplin again as I type. Poor people. And then more again tomorrow.

Just got home from morning meeting - MUST do some ironing, then back to work this afternoon.

Very quick check in here...stayed over with daughter--fence done and had a lovely time. They took me out to dinner and a movie--new Pirates movie. AND electric fences are a blast! I now know first hand!

Just finished stringing the wire and I asked daughter if the tension was good enough--she said yes but could be a bit tighter. In a complete momentary loss of mind--I tested the tension on the new wire(not yet connected) then grabbed the live wire! DUH!!!! I jumped back bumped daughter who also received the shock and cursed mildly. I think a tasted smoke in my mouth! I am still here to tell the tale and laugh so all is well. Have a great day friends. xo

Good morning family! I had such a nice, peaceful weekend! My daughter and I laid around the pool all day Saturday and both of us got burnt! I will never go out in the sun again without sunblock! I can't seem to handle the heat like I used to. It wiped me out! Even my brown little girl turned red! So we lathered up in aloe and watched lifetime movies! Her hubby didn't come, he plays baseball and had to go to Nashville. Welcome, Rene and Nelz to the greatest family ever! You won't find more love, fun, and encouragement any other place, so we hope you will stay around! Love your goals, Nelz! Breaking it down into steps makes it not so overwelming! Sunni, send me a pic of Sadie and I will post it for you. Do you have my email address? I hate for you to get attached to her and then lose her. Jan, so glad you had a good time! I don't know how you have so much energy, but you are a good sport! Fluff, we have been missing you! Hope you are doing well. Ruby, your boston butt sounded wonderful! Thank you all so very much for the warm welcome... I apologize for not responding sooner. I try to take advantage of the sunshine when it's here!! A little about me.... hmmm, dang. It's been an interesting process of finding this place. I am a boozer that's on again, off again. This time I want to make it last the rest of my life. I have recently felt myself struggling with that old "beastie" voice trying to lure me back (dang is that a powerful voice). I have wonderful support but it is difficult when you live with someone who has no idea what I'm talking about. He is great just doesn't quite "get it". So, I figured I better get off my butt and reach out. I am the mother of two absolutely goregeous, stunning, beautiful boys (and no, I am not biased in the very least) hahaha... I also have three grandsons and a step granddaughter. For all intents and purposes I am so dang blessed...I have no idea why I've been wanting to grab a bottle..... It's being held at bay but honestly, finding this place, well .... it's divine Thanks again for such a warm welcome. It's greatly appreciated. Big Hugs to you all!! Happy day

vicki - I am so pleased that you had such a grand time with Sharla. So sorry about you being sun burned though - very painful - aloe is wonderful for sunburn - I always keep mine in the fridge, although I am very careful these days and try really hard not to get burned. I plan on hopefully taking a pic of Sadie tomorrow when I am off, and thank you for posting it for me - yes, I am pretty sure I have your e-mail. We had awful storms go through today - and are expecting more tomorrow. we got the same ones that went through Joplin, MO, but we just got the bottom of them - I can't imagine what it was like for them - the winds were just awful., and we didn't get them as strong as they did.

Anyway, I hope more folk are around tomorrow - I am off to bed. Day off - Yeh! Hugs to all,

Been really busy. Hubby is leaving in the morning to go back up to his Dad's house. His Dad is getting out of the nursing facility tomorrow. We don't know how long hubby will be gone this time. Probably 3-4 weeks. Our son took us out to dinner tonight. Olive Garden. Delicious! Then I went to an AA meeting. So, I am finally home and have to get to bed so I can get up early & take hubby to the airport.

Sunshine, I am glad that you get a three day weekend in a few days. It is so nice. That is great that the new puppy settled in OK, regardless of weather. I am glad that your daughter is "getting" it, in regards to not driving once she has been drinking.

Rene1, thanks for giving us a little more information, it is nice to get to know you. You bring up some excellent points in regards to your drinking. It is great that you are writing about it, and thinking about it. How many days sober are you? Are you planning moderation, or quitting all together? Will your husband support your new alcohol relationship? Regardless, we are here for you, and you can do it.

Yes, it really wasn't a bright moment for me with the fence--but really I am fine. I have grazed them before-not full on like Sunday though.
We hung all rods and half the curtains and I decided I did not like the feel of the room at all--I need to find something to break up the solid colours or something---I'm not good at this kind of thing at all.

Good Morning everyone. Hill - I am pleased that you are sleeping better now - I am surprised that you weren't with all the hard work that you were doing! With not drinking, I find I am doing so much more sleeping! I remember this happened last time I quit as well. I used to wake up full of pep - now I wake up draggy - which doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Hi RC - yes, My eyes are a lot better - they look fine now at least although they still feel a tad odd and irritate a little, but for the most part, they are fixed thank goodness! Is the room where you are hanging the rods and curtains in the shop? Can you take a pic and e-mail it to me and I will see if I can come up with any ideas if you want...... oh - and today is Tuesday...LOL

Nora - so nice to see you here. Sorry hubs is going away again - or is it easier for you when he is away - I am never quite sure what to say to anyone when they say their hubs is going away!! Is his dad going back home? I am assuming that he will be able to manage okay - or is there someone there to help him? Keep in touch with us eh?

Good Morning Fen - the squirrels kept away this morning - more by good luck than judgment I am sure. So you would have been safe for a visit this morning! But then you would have been out there so actually you wouldn't have been safe - oh well, you know what I mean - never mind - I was waffling.

The dogs have been growling at each other so are deciding who is top dog (Maggie), and Ben keeps looking at me as if to say "do you still love me?" so i am making a special fuss of him.
