Yes, another wave of dangerous weather is sweeping across the country. The tail-end is expected here this afternoon and tonight. Seems like it may be worse up towards you, Sunni. I'm sorry. Was watching pictures of the Joplin tornado (it was an F-5!) and the statistics for this year. The US has almost passed the yearly average for tornadoes, and has already broken some monthly records. NOT a happy benchmark to pass. Alabama is still struggling to somewhat recover from the April storms, but lives have been changed. Please be safe. Do you have a small, inner room in the store picked out to huddle in in case of a threat? It's VERY important!
Now, I'm quite sure this guy found nothing funny about this experience, but you have to admit it is bizarrely humorous. Can you imagine what his friends are going to have in store for him in the future??

Doc appt, tax atty appt, and calling the bank re: buying the property today. NOW Hubs wants it too. It has 3 huge bedrooms, 3 baths, the chimney my ggrandfather built, and natural spring where they went for water for generations, so it's very important to me. I can get the house and 14 acres for prob less than $45,000, so it IS a great investment.

Good morning Jammers! Got the lawn cut after work. Took 2 hours and that isn't even the whipper snippering. Usually the cutting only takes 1 1/2 hours but it was sooo long. I had a smudging fire going so the bugs weren't bad at all. It was a good healthy work out though cuz the ground is so uneven due to mole infestation. They seem to have taken up residence next door this year. I see all the little dirt mounds over there and none (so far) on mine.
Sunny-what is a storm jacket for Ben? Magda doesn't get freaked but I'm curious-never heard of one before. I hope your day goes smoothly with no wanker customers!
Ruby will be thinking of you today and hope it goes well. Glad you took to your room for some rest too.

I haven't watched any news on the storms since Alabama but have heard from folks about the devastation in Joplin and a customer told me about her son flying over Slave Lake--unrecognizable in his words. I really do wonder what it's all about at times like this. Congratulations on the property Ruby--it sounds beautiful. xo

Good morning family! I have to type fast before I lose internet again. We are having major thunderstorms and lots of rain, that we needed! Ruby, please don't overdo yourself and get sick. Let Sue cook some meals, she is a good cook. I'm so excited about your new house and what a deal to get it plus 14 acres for $45,000! Is it alot smaller than what you live in now? It will be hard moving from a large to a small house with all the things you have, good time to have a carport sale! PLEASE let us know ASAP what your doctor says! We are all worried about you! Swannie, how are you doing, sweetheart and why are you always hiding behind the couch? Please come out and mingle with us! We miss you! Are you feeling better physically? RC, who told you to FO after you said you were proud of your son? That was so cruel! MB, so glad your Dad is doing and looking so good! How much longer are his treatments? Still no real answers, just more questions and expensive prescrip vitamins. Still must have the hearing aides.
It's dark as night here, severe storms heading in. Baseball-size hail north of us, a good sign of a tornado. When will this end??????
The house isn't for us to live in, Vick, just more rental but it has a big sentimental value to me. Was supposed to go back to walk it today, but the lightning is non-stop, so won't be outside today!

Hey everybody - no time right this minute to reply, but wanted to fess up. I am sitting here with a Guinness. As I said on the 30 day thread - premeditated, preplanned, thought out, no caving as such - I decided to do this. I will only have two - I promise. Lots going on - not that that is an excuse or a reason. I just decided to. Sorry if anyone feels I am letting the side down - I personally don't feel that way. I modded for a long time and it was only when i started slowly creeping up to 3 or 4 that I decided to stop altogether. Today I decided to have one or two.

I'm now on day 11 and doing great thankyou everyone I have too much at stake to take that first drink
I'm starting to get my craft work out slowly as I have heaps of ufo's to finish
Starting slowly on the crocheting blankets for the grandkids first then I will progress to the next ufo
I pulled out one I started for my when he was 16 a footy blanket and now he's 35 time to finish it luckily he still baracks for parramatta

Welcome, Merry! We'd love to get to know you. Sunshine, don't you dare beat yourself up like that! You have had way more sober days than not, so give yourself a break and tomorrow is a brand new day! Take care of yourself, cause we all love you! So Ruby, you just lost your hearing overnight for no reason, like gunfire? That's hard to believe. I hope ya'll made it through the storms. Hey, SST, hope you are doing okay and wish you had more time to post. RC, I am so very sorry that your son, who you love and adore, said those mean things to you, but you have to let it go and forgive. It sounds like your son needs to go military so he can learn to respect and appreciate you. He will leave as a rebellious boy and come home to you a respectful man! Where is everyone? Hubby started drinking at 2 today, so he is long gone, but he has been very conscious NOT to scream or cuss at me, so I am enjoying "my time". I think I will post some pics of my patio, where I love to relax, watch the birds and talk to God. It's my sanctuary! Vicki

Well, I'm really, really bored, but he's still up and watching TV, so I must wait until he goes to bed, then I can go watch TV! Here's some pics of my garden and blackberries. I've almost got enough gathered to make blackberry jam and cobbler. YUM! I bet after all the rain we had today, there is going to be alot to pick tomorrow. I picked so much squash the other day, but they are loaded down! I'll try not to bore you with any more pics tonight. I love you all and hope everyone has a restful night! Vicki

Goodmorning everyone, I hope you are well. It is a chilly plus 2 (celsius) this morning. Beautiful clear cool air, the stars were nice last night.

Busy busy, again for me. I will use a new word I just learned, I "clopened" yesterday as well. I have to work most of Saturday as well. C'est la vie.

My garden I grow the usual peas and beans, carrotts etc, the kids and I plant all those. My children do not have to patience to count and space the tiny beat seeds etc, so I get some interesting looking rows to thin out later on. In addition to some herbs, tomatoes, I grow a lot of hot peppers! I have four or five types already in my garden. I love the heat.

Merry, keep up the good work, and keep adding those days together. You can do it.
