Ahoy there all! Am starting this thread for the first time in a couple of years!! It is a mild autumn afternoon down under here and I am once again, happily and gratefully sober. It is nothing short of a miracle that I haven't had the urge to get munted for quite some time now. I used to think that "the only person Im hurting is myself" - how DREADFULLY wrong and selfish that statement is. Oh well, I have beaten myself up over the years more than a pro boxer and it doesn't fix anything...so JUST FOR TODAY, I remain AF, and happy, joyous and free. Life is a giggle sometimes and a teardrop other times, but in general it is O-bloody-K!!! Hugs and love to all to come. Spongebob still rules.....Kap

Sorry I havent been posting lately guys, been feeling a bit down myself. and I have a tendency to withdraw. Nothing awful, just life giving me a bit of a kicking at the mo. I know it will pass soon enuff, just gotta wait for the sunshine eh?

Anyway its May 1st and Its gonna be a lovely day. I have my niece Sophie staying and Im sure we are going to have a great day.

Hiya Stars - and great to see you too. Darlin - the low times DO pass, it just feels like it is taking too bloody long sometimes. I wonderful tidbit I heard many years ago is that "serenity is the calm WITHIN the storm" - and therefore retaining a calm and hopeful (not to mention grateful) headspace will get you through in far quicker time. It is just so cool that we have this site to 'vent'. My darling 17 year old just 'vented' at me before dinner tonight - it doesn't happen too often these days - and I stood silently and quietly and blessed him (through gritted teeth) in my heart. WE ROCK!!!
