    Army Thread 3rd May

    Morning all.
Im a bit stiff this morning, as I agreed to let the girls sleep in my bed last night, so had to sleep in a pink bedroom in a bunkbed that is just that wee bit too small. Need someone to stretch me out this morning! There not back in school till Monday, though for me thats great, cause I get to see Erin more this week.
Many congrats to EW's Caneries for being promoted last night. I hope we go up with ya via the play off's!
    Have a great day everyone!

My brother had alot of problems with a visa for Canada. He wanted to move there 7 yrs ago, but though my dad got a great reference off the head of the Canadian Rugby Association and a well known doctor they wouldnt give him one. So he went for New Zealand, met his wife and now has 2 boys with another child on the way very very soon and is happy as Larry. So though its a bummer Moll, I believe everything happens for a reason, and im sure things will work out. Fingers crossed for you all.

These are two young educated people, working their arses off over there, he's working 60-70 hours a week and she's not far behind - WTF!! I just don't get it. Anyway that's my moan for the day - he'll come home now without any chance of work here oh bugger I'm just so upset for them. Seey'all later
good morning troopers, been a while just thot id drop in and say HI, and seen this post,THEY HAVE TO KEEP APPLYING,if there smart, our country would rather let boat people in for free, and feed them for a few years ,for nothing until they figure out what to do,with them,as sad as it may seem we still live in one of the best countries in the world, that is Canada, you should see what my niece had to do to get into the states, and she was married to a gentleman from the states, shew waited 2 years,on that note i to wish them well gyco

Thank you Cy! We are not perfect and we have lots of issues - but what country doesn't??!! I sometimes think about moving to the US (better work opportunities) or Australia (better weather) and even Wales (better music if one is into male voice choirs and brass bands as I am!!) but in the end NZ is a pretty cruisy place to live.

Molly - they should be able to lodge an appeal. Have they got an immigration lawyer? If not, they should get one asap. It may cost a bit but these people know their stuff. Also, I don't think you can be deported while an appeal is lodged. Get them to check out the Canada section in britishexpats.com as there will no doubt be other people who went thru this. If they are working, I would have thought their employers could lodge an appeal? X

Hiya again Army. I'm cruising through today. It makes me wonder when the s%^t is going to hit?

Where is my warm weather, though? They forecast 24C, but there is cold a wind blowing outside.
