Well I got through another one of my huge triggers again today..........having workmen in the house.

I don't know if I've said before but years ago I had one of my biggest relapses after having a new bathroom installed and since then I've always felt uncomfortable having workmen in the house to the point of high anxiety.

So a huge big Ta very much to Stirls for ringing at 6.30am even though I didn't get to the phone but it gave me a good half an hour to pull me thoughts together.

And a very big ta to all those Army folk who lurk, I knew you were there if I needed to shout.:h:l:h:l Good for you Jackie, dear.

I think I should mention now that I've got me other trigger on Friday.

The dentist. So I'll be starting a thread with me phone number, e-mail addy, bra size and bank details. So please keep in touch you know you want to.

Mind it's still Mr :h. Dya think he'll still loves me cos it's months and months since I was there.

I've got 3 days to work out what to wear. Should I wax me top lip tonight or tomorrow. Will he like me blond. Will he charge me the entire national debt of a small foreign country. Are Easter eggs half price so I can buy two.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

I wish you the best of luck in getting everything done and on time. I still remember moving to Greece from Canada and with two small kids. It was very exciting but stressful at the same time. A new beginning tho' so that was the positive part of it.
Our last move - into the place we're living now, was a pain in the butt. We were told it would be ready by the end of September and from the middle of the month I'd packed up everything I could and had this huge stack of boxes sitting in the middle of our living room. We finally moved the first weekend of December. I was getting ready to string Christmas lights on that stack of boxes instead of having a tree since there was no place to put one... And two days before we moved in, they tore up the hardwood floor in our bedroom and it had to be re-laid, sanded and varnished. It was over a week til we could put furniture in it and we slept on the mattress in the middle of the living room til then.

Have to go out for a few minutes. See youz then...

The weird thing is one of them stank to high heaven of booze and when they were finished about 11ish was straight off to the boozer. Don't ask me why but I knew he was an alcoholic. He had that panicky look as if he was just marking time 'til his first drink.

It's a shame you have to wait like that starty 'cos it's hard not to worry sometimes, but hopefully they're just being cautious.

Pity about that Molly. Hope they can get it sorted, but if not then at least you'll be nearer to your daughter.

Funny how you can spot them. There's a girl here where we live that I've seen many times at the supermarket. Only once I've seen her not buy booze. Actually, I knew from the first time I saw her that she's an alkie without seeing what she was buying. She had that "furtive" look about her. How sad... She's not Greek, BTW, not that it makes any difference.

And I once got a cab at 9 a.m. and the driver smelled of brandy. 'Twas quite sickening. So was the huge hole in the back seat that he couldn't be arsed getting fixed. I got in and out one block later.

Probably a waiting list for the tests. Here they have private med centres that you can have tests like that done and you don't have to wait more than 24 hours for an appt. Thank Dawg... And 75% of the cost of the tests are covered by our health insurance.
