Happy Mothers Day!

Feeling a bit grumpy still - didn't sleep very well 'cos of the bloody hurricane blowing outside. OK, I'm exaggerating, but it it always makes for a restless night.

The cubs will be making Mrs. T breakfast in bed. They also made her a lovely card in which the eldest declares his love for her - a rare thing indeed. We thougt MD was next week, so no shop-bought gift will be given today, but they did give her "vouchers" for some chores around the house. And a few personal favours.

Speaking of squirrels: the little buggers got their thieving little paws on my entire maiden crop of pecan nuts. I planted the trees the year we moved into this house.

Oh wow - the sun is just rising from behind the Franschhoek mountains. A very pale blue sky with very high-level, wispy clouds now being highlighted in red, orange & pink.

Hiya Mr Tips our Mothers day happened a while ago in fact when I was Lysia Languish lying sick on my bed of pain in Edinburgh.

How are you this morning Mollyka? Feeling happier I hope?

Mrs a is off to run the Liverpool Womens 10k this morning and then on to my best friends birthday in her garden. Looks like rain though.
