    Army Thread 8th May

Sorry, I was off cleaning the bathroom.

Molly, I've still got price catalogues to do for our business but I'm going to go for a short drive later and maybe take some pictures. I've already walked Freddo and as I said before, it's a perfect day.

Mrs. A - they say that those Greek islands truly have the most beautiful beaches and the colours of the sea is unlike anywhere else in Greece....

Good morning Army, It's a beautiful day again here. We spent all day yesterday at the Canal St Martin street festival in Paris-I think I might just be getting a tiny bit of colour to my pasty white winter skin.
Great to hear peoples moods are starting to lift!
Beautiful photo of Greece to wake up to Stirls! I'd love to go back there-one of these days! I think I told you I went to Greece quite a few years ago. I just loved it. We were in Athens and Hydra-just lovely.
        Happy Sunday to everyone.

lol, I find I get into those intense cleaning moods at inapprpriate times, like 3.30 in the morning, which was ok when I lived by myself cause i could get up & vacumn, but not now.

JackieClaire, ExPatty and Witchy. Oh, don't get me started on Hydra - one of my favourite places. I love that there are no cars allowed there.

It's not a cloud we've got Mrs A, it's a blooming great grey blanket and it's all sticky and over warm.

You sound like me Molly! I have some house plants that I just call "the plants" because I've lost the tags!
Stirly-we love your photos! The one you posted of Hydra just makes me want to jump into the photo and sit at one of those outdoor caf?s!:H
When I was there-I was a complete "normie". I really hate Ouzo (or pastis) so only had the odd glass of Retsina or a glass of Greek wine with dinner. Mainly, I just drank those frapp? coffees-yum! Great memories-and the fact that cars are not allowed was a BIG PLUS! I don't like cars-and don't drive.

This is one of my favourite places to vacation. Called Porto Heli - it's in the Peloponese. It's about a 4 hour drive from here so it's easy to get to....

And from there you can go to the island of Spetses with a boat taxi. It has it's own type of architecture and most of the streets are paved with stone in special patterns that are found only on that island...

It's very popular as a place to visit at night in the summer...

Mrs. A - best of luck with the race....
