            Hi everyone!

I reckon the good times can't last forever because if they did we would just get too used to them, this way , we can learn to appreciate them even more when they come around...xxx

                      Army Thread 9th May

                      Good Morning Army!!

Just back from walking the dogger. Another beautiful Spring day in Stirly-world.

Had a lovely day yesterday - unexpected visit from older son who arrived with a huge bouquet of flowers and black forest ice cream for his Mom.:h So we had Sunday dinner together, then a long walk up our country road and back home to watch a movie. He also brought with him a stereo system that he's no longer using and hooked that up for us and good news - it has a cassette player so I can once again play my old cassettes as well as my cd's. Our old one had gone south. Now why would I want play old cassettes you might ask and not just download the songs onto a cd and play that. Because some of them are old Greek songs that I recorded a long time ago and I can't find them online.

KTAB - positive thinking. There are so many things around us, big and small, to take pleasure from whether it's a good cup of coffee, the view of the mountains or the satisfaction in a job well done. And things to be grateful for - knowing that our family is safe and healthy, that we have a roof over our heads and food on the table. So get that positive thoughts cap on, young man. That's an order...:huggy

Just took a quick read over yesterday's Army thread - looks like we're going to have at least two international visitors here in Stirly-world. Welcome JC and Molly, whenever you can manage to get here.

Spuds - hope you have a good visit with your sister.

Mario - glad to hear that the party was a great success. Not that we had any doubts that it wouldn't be...

Tips - it sounds like you need a day off today rather than going to work. No wonder you were exhausted after all that work. Should have roped the cubs into helping you...

Reccie - sounds like you had a great time on that interrail holiday. A lot of kids I went to high school with came over to tour Europe before going to college. It was the thing to do then. With a rucksack and a pass for the youth hostels. Great fun it was.

Well done yet again Mrs. A.

Inchy congrats on the 2 weeks sober.

Molly, hope you enjoy your time off.

                      Wishing you all a very

                      Laterz...

Mario - ditto to what Oney said. It's the excitement and build up for the big day that makes you feel a little empty when it's all over. Think back over the evening and what a great time you and your guests had and how wonderful it is that you were sober and can remember every single second of your fab party.

                                Molly,
I had the most hideous experience yesterday. I've got my on-line banking passwords hidden in a very special place. I went to my very special place and they weren't there. I nearly fecking died.

I was convinced I'd chucked them in the bin. Any hoo found the buggers in a cookery folder I'd been looking through.
