Evening folks, quick lurk before bed time. Just watched that program also. Finding themselves inside is the result of some very bad decisions by a lot of people I think and the self harming was hard to watch I thought.

i felt sorry for the drug addict guy, he belonged in a psychiatric hospital not a prison, obviously deeply depressed and judgeing by the scars that shoudl ahve been picked up a long time ago

I agree, I wonder if the authorities only use that route as a last option as it could then become an open ended sentence I suppose. Not saying it is the right decision, for if he was in need of psychiactric care he should have been afforded it.

Evening ktabs. And Inchy. Didn't see the program, but I can't help thinking that a lot of people who need psychiatric care don't know how to ask for help or are too frightened to ask for it.

Hi Reccie, valid point there. I imagine its seen as a bit of a stigma to admit to mental health problems for some people but it shouldnt be, the brain is just another part of the body and can get ill as any other.
I wouldnt be in a hurry to admit to people that I am an alkie outside of here and family so I suppose I can totally understand the reluctance for some people to admit certain personal issues.
