I've never been shopping for one actually. But as far as bathroom furniture-I would love to have one of those big oldie claw foot baths.
Just back from our walk Expat I thought of you in the rain/hail and wind and was glad you missed that part of the walk. One day though---

Have only read back a little bit so not got all the news BUT big congratulations to the lovely Oney 1 year how brilliant.

Oney you have saved me from many a slip with the threat that you would hunt me down:thanks:

Thanks for the Milk and bread JC I found it on the back step.:thanks:

Back later after a bath and some grub

I have a laptop too... PC also.

Let's put it this way, can't make a worse job of it that I did the shower... can't fall out of bed when you're lying on the floor!

Hello Troopers. Just stopping in for a quick post before walking the dogger and off to bed. It's been a long day in Stirly-world starting with the alarm going off at 6 a.m. and finally winding down a short while ago when I decided I've worked enough today having finished up the ironing.

Anon, your day sounds absolute bliss.

Peeps, today is a special one, in fact its a special week. Oney has been one year AF and on Thursday she has been one year off the fags. I have never seen such a transformation in one person over the time I have known her. Always determined, but with a thirst for knowledge that has taken her way beyond her own expectations I think. She is a natural teacher and a true inspiration. Well done Oneywoo xxx!!!! Oney - you always amaze me with the way you take on things, whether it be giving up the smokes or staying AF or providing the best family life you can for your darling children. Your determination is indeed something to be admired. I just want to say that I am honoured that you consider me a friend. As for the AF and NF - YOU ROCK!!!

Spent the last 2 days on and off trying to fix me steamer. Used vinegar, pins, needles, toothpicks, dismantled, remantled, filled, emptied - and then back to vinegar pins and needles - to no avail. Hubs is off today - he stuck one little pin up the things arse and -yeah you guessed it - like a friggin steam train aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrggggh - bloody men - and he has a right smug look on his puss now:upset: - I'll make him pay
Molly dear, I do so love the way you express yourself. You are quite unique....

                  Hi guys.
Had the morning from hell here. Got my hospital letter and called the hospital to make the appt and was offered 23/5! Nearly lost the plot as I have been waiting for what seems like ages and with suspected cancer they told me it was 2 weeks from doctors appt. Well apparently its 2 weeks from when you contact them. Anyway, crying and almost hysterical I rung the doctors and explained that I couldnt wait that long, my head was in pieces seeing as I had recently lost my mum from breast (lung and brain) cancer. They sorted it and found me an appt on 18th at another hospital. Feeling very relieved. Still dont like waiting a week tho, but its better than 2.
Oh and I didnt get the job.
Never mind, onward and upward. I shall find an even better one
Starty - don't know what to say. I would be hysterical myself if they told me I had to wait two weeks for a dr.'s appointment and the results. It would just be so hard to get through each day. But at least you've only got one week to wait and not two. And anyway, we all know that you've gone through this before and the results were negative. Just as they will be negative this time. :huggy

Troopers, am off to walk the dogger and then crash. Hope you all have...

And Zennie - have a lovely afternoon...

                  I'm outta here...

Unfortunately lazy days are over - one month to go until my first exam :upset:

Oney: Not great with words but really just wanted to say congratulations on one year, you've been so supportive and inspirational to me and from what i can tell alot of toher people around here too - it really is great to see you achieve such a huge milestone Well done :bday3:

Starty: sorry to hear about the job and the hospital being eejits - hospital part doens't suprise me but its still pretty damn bad.

Zen: enjoy toilet shopping + gym xD

hey to everybody else! hope you're all having good days

Molls - sorry you had to get that phone call. Kids are going to experiment and it's better if they are doing in the house them somewhere dodgy. She is trying to control the situation. You gotta do what's best for your kids and that may be totally different from her. Hope it works out but don't blame yourself! X

Yeah well, she just realised her angel isn't perfect and is lashing out. It's no biggie to me either and I agree. They can do a heck of a lot more damage drinking then smoking weed. X

Well see exactly! I would much rather be able to have a conversation with my kids (should I ever have them) and know that they feel like they could come to me then not. Far better in the long run. Yeah, packing is nearly done. I am pretty excited but got lots of goodbyes to get thru still. It's bittersweet. X

                                ooh night molly

and on the subject, my mum lets me, my brother and sister (if she wanted to) smoke weed in the house, way she sees it it's not doing us any harm, we'd do it anyway so doing it indoors is a better bet, and we're responsible enought o make our own decisions. It's never done me any harm and has made for some really fun nights
