My friend Lara passed away late last night. She had a horrific struggle with a very fast moving and rare form of colon cancer. She was diagnosed only 4 months ago. She was a wonderful person. I knew there was a reason I had not slept for more than 10 minutes last night. I thought of her non-stop and had planned to go to Hospice to see her today. I prayed that either she would be healed, or taken out of her pain. Apparently God needed another really cool angel up there. RIP Lara. Please keep her, her family and husband in your thoughts. My heart is broken.

Oh waggy! I am so so sorry. I honestly believe that our loved ones can do more for us in heaven then on earth and she will take care of her family and friends even if she isn't here. I will keep you and her family in my thoughts and prayers. X

Thanks everyone. I think they will have a memorial for her this weekend - she would definitely NOT wanted a funeral with everyone boo-hooing. I will have to do that in private. Woudln't want to piss her off...lol

Wag - so sorry for your loss. Cancer is a horrible disease and a friend of mine was taken at an early age (40) from colon cancer as well. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Also, Wag, I have a friend, Karen, for at least 20 years, who is SO talented and wonderful. She's been battling colon cancer for the last 7, and sadly, is losing. More sadly, she's a single mom, has been saddled with debt by her ex and 1 daughter, so she works at least 2 jobs, when she can. She's remortgaged her little house, tries to work 7 days a week. So many need our support and love out there before they're gone.
But this is for you and your loss. I only wanted you to know, I understand. I've lost so many friends and family this was, I can't count. Feel blessed she suffered shortly, and has you as such a great friend.
