    Army Thread 14th May

    Good morning army!

It's Saturday so hopefully you won't have to go to work today and you're probably still tucked up in bed.

The sun isn't up round here yet, but there's not a cloud in sight so I reckon it could be a hot one.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Off to get some sleep. Night!

Morning Recciebear and all to come.

Looks like its going to be a nice day today here as well.

I went to a wedding reception last night. I knew no one except Mr Starts, the bride and a guy from uni. Perfect recipe for nerves and wanting a drink usually. But I was fine! Never even thought about a drink, when I got home (pretty early) I went to bed, and was so grateful that I hadnt made a prick of myself, got a headache and was lying in a bed that was acting like it was on a fast spin cycle. Amazing

I echo that Starty. I also went out on a potentially dangerous evening out (drinking wise)and never even fancied a drink and so grateful to be sober and to be able to have sensible conversations and not make a fool of myself, drive myself home and remember the whole glorious evening.

Reccie why have you been up all night? Are you OK?

Morning Starts and night Reccie, :goodjob: Starts! It is a great feeling isn't it? It's like me at the scary school meeting yesterday-a few years ago I would have had a glass or two of white wine "to calm my nerves"before going. Stupidly thinking-nobody can tell. HA! Who was I fooling. ?Only myself. As others have written on other threads-it does take a long time sometimes to build back trust with people but it's so worth it! I was able to sit clear eyed and sharp to discuss my son's problems and work out a solution. And here I am-up at a ridiculous early time on Saturday morning but only because my body is programed to get up at 6:15 or so. And I feel good and well rested. So here's to another sober weekend!

              Morning, all

Still in bed with 2nd coffee & book. Overcast & cold, so I don't have all that much incentive to get my arse in gear.
              I'll do whatever it takes

Morning again everybody-again, CHILL!!! I just saw your photos of your new place on the other thread-just gorgeous! Hopefully you'll get some nice sunny days soon to pep up your mood:l. I just finished a Rosamunde Pilcher novel (ok yes, very corny and written in 1976-but I've been so stressed out lately that I needed something "light" to relax and take my mind off stuff:H) But anyway, the book is set in the area around Ardmore Bay and the Isle of Mull. Are you anywhere around there? I must admit-I loved the book-corny though it was:H! and made me want to go see that part of the world! However, finances will not let that happen for quite awhile:upset:.
