    Army Thread 17th May

    Good morning, Army

I was up at more or less my usual time this morning, despite having decided to work from home so that I can run a few errands during the day. What a joy! I've the gas heater on in the bedroom, a steaming cup of coffee beside me and the lappie securely resting on a bread board so that it doesn't overheat because of the duvet blocking the air vents. The pets also seem to be enjoying it, since there are four lazy bodies stretched out around the heater, bellies facing the heat. Jasmine hasn't emerged from the eldest cub's bedroom yet. Their collective fart fog must be acting like a sleeping pill.

I have to take my car in to have some damage assessed so I can get the go-ahead from my insurance company to get it repaired. The eldest cub has to have his braces adjusted as well. Plus I need to get supplies in for voting day tomorrow. I'll only set foot out of the house to go and vote. For the rest, I intend just pottering around and not doing much. Except maybe fit the panel heaters in the cubs' bedrooms - I didn't get around to it last winter. Too busy and all that :H

My day will be nothing like Stirly's was yesterday, though. Stirly: enjoy your day off back at work!!!

JC: how's your growth? It reminded me about the boil who took over the lead character's life in How to get Ahead in Advertising. Does your growth speak Geordie?

Starty, dear: only one more sleep, and you'll have your boobies seen to. :l

To everyone else: have a lovely day!
    I'll do whatever it takes

Yesterday was a blah day. I'm not really sure why but I just felt down. I'm going to try and keep busy today to keep my mind off things. And get out and see people! I spent all day alone with the dog yesterday and started feeling sorry for myself. Usually I'd enjoy that-a quiet day at home-but instead it felt oppresive. So I'm getting out today!!! How's everybody else feeling?

I usually love days at home on my own Expattie, but know what you mean, sometimes they backfire.
I have over a week to myself come Friday, Mr Starts is off on his travels again

Hopefully you'll get some nice weather so you can get out for some walks. I think that is the mistake I made yesterday-I stayed inside too long watching the news and staying on the computer too long. Better to get out and at least have a walk in the woods! Nature is a mood lifter! And it's free. Broke again as usual-and just found out the son is invited to a birthday party on the 28th-of course, end of the month! And now I'll have to come up with the money to buy a present! No more complaining though-it will work out.

Yes it will work out Expattie, things always do somehow.
Walking and getting out is my mood lifter too. As is staying in bed with ginger beer and eating hot cross buns

ok-off to wake up the kids for school. I'll check in later. I think I'll go into work today (even though I don't have any work!) to see if I can round up some more jobs! Even if I have to beg my boss!
