Sometimes when I'm struggling, I re read my favourite of your posts, become re inspired and remember that it's so much more than just not drinking.
You've helped us realise that we have a rare opportunity to craft our lives into something more special and meaningful than we even imagined ourselves.
Thankyou.
BridgeIf your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

WOW - YOU GUYS TOTALLY ROCK MY WORLD!!!!!!
Thank you each and every one for making this day such a special one for me!!!!!!! Mostly, thank you each and every one for sharing your journies here at MWO. Good times. Bad times. Joys. Sorrows. We are in this together. No matter how different we are in so many ways, we have one thing in common that brings us together. Together, we can become sober. With your help, I can stay sober today. By myself, I could not do it. For years I tried to stay sober just one day and could not do it. We have people power!!!
Fluff - you asked how it feels. FABULOUS!!!!! Having my life back and having the freedom to move about in this world instead of being locked in my self imposed prison home with AL is wonderful beyond belief. Do I have problems? Yes I have problems. I can face them with a clear mind. I can know that EVERYONE has ups and downs and that I am so blessed to have so much good in my life. That's how it feels for me.
I went with Mr. Doggy today and flew a big stunt kite for the first time ever!! Well, I tried once before several years ago. But let me tell you, drinking and trying to hang onto flying object while generally going backwards do NOT get along. Today I actually did it!
If you are already AF, keep on going. If you are stuggling to get AF, keep on fighting. It's worth it. That is all. The queen for today only has spoken. :crowned::H:H

Congratuations DoggyGurl on the THREE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets celebrate with af drinks on the house! People like you inspired me to quit drinking for good. And you continue to inspire me to hang in there throughout the past and in the current. And you inspire me to continue my af journey. I am excited to see what it is stored for me in my af life. And its people like you that has made it happen.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

DG - i have ventured into general discussion, away from the safety of starting out - and i see this post. So many others have so much more to say than i do, but in my month and a half at MWO, you have been one of my stanchest supporters and I am truly grateful, and in total admiration.....thank you...:l“The only courage you will ever need is the courage to live the life you want"
