drink tracker???

i want to start using the drink tracker and am a bit confused. in the count, i presume its units. as far as i can see you can only put in certain numbers. i seem to have the choice between 10 units or 15 units. i want to put in 13. is this possible, am i being a bit dense. also, my usual drinking session is about 2 bottles of wine, strength 11-13. i am thinking a bottle is 6 units, is this correct???

A bottle of wine has between 8 and 12 UK units in it. You are probably having close to 20 when you drink 2 of them. So you need to choose >15 I'm afraid!!!

Here's the sums;

UK Units

% strength x volume (mls) all divided by 1000

So one 750ml bottle of 11% wine = 11% x 750mls/1000 = 8.25 units and at 13% it's 9.75 units.

Some bottles hold 1 litre though.

thanks and ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!! im worse than i thought. dont know where i got the 6 units from. i would say that my wine is usually 11.5 or 12. either way its not good. what about cider, thats my other drink. i think a pint of strongbow cider is 2.5 units, any idea on this one. i really do need to do more research about a lot of things

You can put the numbers for cider into the same equation, a pint contains 568mls and Strongbow is 4.5%.

4.5% x 568 / 1000 = 2.5 units

Hey thanks for mentioning this Spuds, I just filled mine out........I LOVE yellow boxes, kind of like the gold stars we used to get when younger. I need about 3 or 4 more to my next goal
