HERE WE GO 30 DAYS AF IN JUNE
Hi June Jumpers! It's a quiet and sober night on my end. And I'm treasuring every moment. Had a great day at work and I'm proud to say this is day 3 for me! This has been the best day so far as I haven't had a strong craving today, kind of strange actually. I am rather tired as I was up at the crack of dawn for work, had a busy day and then came home and started digging in the dirt. Plus walked for about an hour today. Had a lovely dinner with hubby and now I'm finishing up a cup of chamomile tea. I think I'll sleep like a baby tonight and I wish everyone else the same.
Tip-you are so right about getting back on MWO even if you mess up one day. Just get back on your sober journey the next. I found that not coming here for the couple of months that I went back to AL delayed my chance of getting AF sooner. As soon as I came back here everyday, I made the choice to give it up again and here I am! It is so important to stay in touch here and get the support from all of you wonderful people who have been there before and who REALLY GET IT.
Scottish Lass...sorry you are getting all that rain. We've had some sun but still a bit on the cool side here in MA. Nelz-Hope you get some rest...don't work too hard! Give yourself a break and relax! Hi to Barbara and DewDrop and everyone else making it through June AF! It's not easy but strength in numbers. I really do agree that posting here about our day to day progress is so important! Good luck everyone!:hWhatever you invest in the circle of LIFE is what comes back to you. Multiplied. What you give to people is what they eventually give back to you. Don't do the math. Just increase your LOVE.
BE HAPPY...BE CONNECTED...BE HEALTHY! :h

HERE WE GO 30 DAYS AF IN JUNE
Hi Gang, Glad to see everyone is still here. If you're not posting, glad you're still lurking ... Ya you !! LOL..
Scottish Lass, we're in for a hot dry summer and although it's not coming fast enough, brace yourself, it's coming !!
Saint Jude, keep eating the popcickles and those yummy floats, anything is better than alcohol. I had two pieces of Queen Elizabeth Cake last night rather than a glass of wine... We can curb those bad habits later.
Merry, glad you finally have sunshine... we're both doing our journey at the same pace... I started June 1st too.. won't it be great when we can boast of 14 or 15 days... can't wait.
Blonde AMbition, keeping busy eh.. take some time to stop and smell the roses... well I guess digging in the soil, while hard work, puts you in an appreciative mood, doesn't it. Nature can work wonders for our spirit.
Blues Dancer I love your quote about alcohol being incompatable with greatness... so THAT was what was holding me back from changing the world... ya.. that's it. The funny thing is I am half serious.
As I posted on the exercise thread I survived all odds yesterday and last night and although spending the day with wild, drinkin', Harley riders including having a gang over to my place to continue the debauchery after the ride, I somehow managed to stay off the sauce. The only thing I can think of is that MWO peeps kept me on the straight and narrow. I didn't want to be the one who broke the cycle of success we're having here !! Came close, though.
Happy TipsTipplerette
I do this for my children, my grandchildren, my health, my peace of mind, and mostly for the opportunity to learn to live with my true, unfiltered, clear-headed, vulnerable self.

I used to say that I hope that I don't drink today. With this quit, I am saying that I can do it and will not drink, and although its not easy, it is easier this time to refrain from drinking. I am enjoying karaoke shows without the al and with al out of the picture, I save money, and will be able to go out more.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Yes drifty, it is definitely easier to tell yourself you don't drink no options than to try to play games with alcohol. I think we all have drinking thoughts, we just have to be honest with ourselves and remember where it got us. We can't just hope to not drink, we have to plan and when the thoughts come up you have to remind yourself you don't drink and do something else, anything else.
Great job everyone, we can all do this!AL free since March 17th 2011...loving this life. No drinking no matter what.
Hi my name is Lori and i am so happy to be here.
