I was thinking about the ambulance cover. Wellington has a free ambulance service that was started up as a charity in the 19th century, and continues to be maintained on the basis of donations. It also does lots of work transporting people to and from the hospital when they dont have access to transport. I was well into my 20s before I realised how incredibly lucky we are to have it. And even more amazing that it still continues to exist!!

AND you hhave a great no blame /upper limit insurance payout system so you don't have ridiculous litigation claims.
AND a great health system that treated my father in law about 10 years ago when he slipped and needed a knee operation. Didn't cost us a penny.

I have a bad back, so wonderful Mr Rags makes the beds.

NEWS:
So 3 days ago I'm flossing my teeth after dinner when PINGGGGGG. Part of a filling on the 47 comes away. So I make an appointment on the spot to see my dentist. Said tooth was fixed yesterday.

Last night after dinner I was being naughty and had a few potato crisps. CRUNCCCHHHHHH. A whole piece of filling comes out from the 15! Super emergency appointment made on the spot to see my dentist in his official capacity. Saw him to-day and I have to see a specialist endodontist as I've damaged the tooth beyond what Mr Rags can fix.. And I have to have a crown for it.
Gee I'm glad I have dental insurance!!

MORALS: Don't floss yer teeth, and don't eat junk food!!

FLU. I am feeling yuckier by the hour.

So, where are the new people Tawny invited in to the undies drawer?

Hi All
Thanks BBBJ for the advice. I have convinced my Doctor that I will be fit enough for work on Monday (he is very dubious), but said okay give it a go, but be very careful!! I have put hirudoid cream on my bruises - anyone got any other ideas for reducing very big, very black bruises? Doctor cheerfully told me they could last 4 to 6 weeks, he said that's what the medical book says, I told him to throw away that book and come up with something else, and so he further even more cheerfully told me that the medical book before that one said the same thing. H'mm not happy! But I have never been guilty of scaring a child before, s'pose there's a first for everything eh?? How long did your bruises last BBBJ? Please don't say 4 to 6 weeks (even lie if you have to) hehe. I will definitely eat more healthy foods and take some vitamins, since being sick for the past few weeks, haven't eaten a great deal and (the up side is) I've lost quite a bit of weight. Well hopefully my life is on the improve from now on - you know start of the new Financial Year and stuff! Apart from that I also find it extremely boring being sick. I reckon I'm done with it for a good long, long while. I have so many things I want to do and they certainly don't include languishing in bed with the flu. I can think of far better things to be doing. Happy I really am pleased and happy for you with regards to your exciting venture - keep us posted. When we lived in the country, we used to grow all our own vegies, and it was a great way for the kids to eat them, having helped grow them and there's nothing like fresh eggs from your own chooks. I remember years ago, I had a broody hen who sat on her eggs like a good mother hen should, however, she decided she had better things to do after a while and she deserted them, so I gathered up the 4 eggs and got out my trusty sunbeam frypan - and with the help of my kids we lined the frypan with loads of soft fluffy bunny rugs and the like and very gently placed in the eggs - I had the pan on the lowest setting but it was still warm - put the lid on and checked daily and lo and behold - great excitement - we ended up with 4 beautiful healthy chicks, they were so cute and loads of fun to rear. We were all rapt and the kids learnt a lot, they were only primary school age then.

Dear Rags, I sympathise with you. Mr K has been making me loads of honey and lemon drinks, and they really help your throat and coughing episodes. Please take care of yourself and have lots of rest, will check on you later.

Anyway, I'm back for another rest for a while, be back again later, take care and love and Sunshine Always. Kaza x

Hi there KAZ,
Go with the hirudoid cream . It does work. I would have thought 6 weeks is a fairly long time for a bruise to last, though when I've
damaged myself badly and the bruise has pooled, it does stay for a while, but never that long.

Kazzzzziiee If yer got the 'flu, you gotta go with it. If you are feeling dreadful, put yourself to beddy bye like I'm going to do fairly soon. I shall ask Mr Rags to make me lemon drinks too! Take it easy on yourself.

I reckon I might also start up a "Little book of MWO isms" The mottos (not the word I was looking for but it'll do) that MWO ers have at the base of their messages. Some of them are very thought provoking.

But recipes first. So come on Undies. Hit me with your culinary delights!
