Wow, good spotting Aspy. Is it real Tawns? or just some glamorous art piece?

Off to talk oil with VIPOP's - have 1. clipboard - check 2. white lab coat - check 3. pen attached to said clipboard by string - check and most importantly 4. nice undies fully pressed with a little bit of starch coz I might have to be stern - check. Undies away!!

On the blackberry so I can't read back that well. I've been thinking of you all. I miss Missy, Saph, Rags, and countless others. I think Rags PM'd me but this browser is horrible. My daughter visited me today so there were lots of tears and many smiles. Today was the first day I was able to walk outside. I was not allowed but gave the head nurse a head fake and there I was. Things look good so I may go home in five days.

            Love you all...
            Gday Techstar,

We have missed you too. Great news about you going home soon. Will you need help at home or can you manage by yourself. Geez mate I bet this episode changes your life on so many different levels. Thank dog you are o.k. Think of you often and sending you lots of love, cuddles and strength. Saff xx

Morning ratbags, with or without reg grundies,

Freezing day down here in paradise...just the way I like it. I'm convinced I was a penguin in a past life, come to think of I walk a bit like one...feet turned out and a definite listing from one side to the other.

Good news about the suspension of the live cattle export. Bloody horrendous stuff..pure evil if you ask me.

Sun back in the day, I did quite a bit of travelling in the outback and didnt have a scrap of trouble. I'd like to do it again as I would have a greater appreciation of the awesomeness of it now that I am older and have more patience. You will have a ball especially at this time of year when the heat wont be so much of an issue.

Off into the day, see youse later

                Morning all,

Ah, noice snooze waking without alarm clock.

Well, i'm very busy and important this morning. I'm orf to what will be a huge equal pay rally in town for the Strayan services union, which covers yer social worker types and more. Equal pay for sheila's is the main agenda, and a long overdue issue that needs to be redressed now. My undies would've been pressed, but

                a. don't use an iron.

                b. don't wear 'em. :upset:

                c. but i have clipboard, pen on string, and black jacket which doubles as a lab coat in my little heart.

Love the pic TF. No nightmares last night after i saw it. Great to see the clavicles. An intense, but faraway look, with just a touch of madness to be sure, but not enough to signal you aren't returning from where you were in that pic. Overall, a fairly balanced lass.

                'ave a good one! :h

Flying to Darwin Saturday. Road trip from there to home on the gold coast. Probably be gone 7 days. Pretty excited. BUt feel anxiety about possibility of car running out of gas in outback, no one driving by to find us, then starving to death. Anxiety seems to be creeping back in to my days. Am taking calms forte and gaba calm. Any other suggestions? I could use some good ones.
Yep. Plan ahead to avoid anxiety.
Phone Northern Territory Tourist information. Ask them for a trip plan and info re Service stops enroute.
It would be a concern for tourism/emergency services as well.

Good for you for going out in support of a fair go for all!!! I wasnt even aware that there were discrepancies in pay between blokes/sheilas!!! Thought all that was ironed out years ago. March on my friend I will be there with ya in spirit:h

late posting today as I was up at 5am finishing off a report that was due last week (and actually that was the revised deadline - originally due in April, then by 30 May .... none of the delays were my fault but I have been seriously stressed by it.) Anyway, first draft is off and I can relax about it for the first time in about a month!! And I've just got back from a really hard workout with my trainer - have gone from one one-hour session a week to two 30-minute ones and she seems to use it as an excuse to push me twice as hard!

So many posts to catch up on!!!

                              Is Masterchef on every night???????

Happy, love the new avatar :H:H

Tf: first I read that you are about to go rollerblading and then you appear as a koala ...... The mind boggled I can tell you!!!:H

Kaza - please take care of yourself. If you aren't allowed to be at work, are there other nice things that you can do to occupy yourself and not be bored???

Sunny - that trip sounds fantastic!!! I'd love to see up that part of the country. I did a road trip from Perth to Broome a few years ago, and it was so different from the East Coast!

G- good man you out for the equal pay rally! Our Government canned the Pay Equity Unit here two years ago, but not enough people got up in arms about it. Kiwis are sometimes too laid back for our own good.

And Techie! :l:l So good to have you back with us and glad you are on the mend. That sounded like a horrifically scary experience. Good that you willbe going home soon, but what will you have in place for support until you are properly back on your feet? (no pun intended)

                              back later!!
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Lunchtime check in. I've just rearranged the daybeds in the Undies drawer to face north and the sun is streaming through the windows - so any undies feeling a bit crook, please, grab a woolly snuggle rug and have a little lie down.

Gotta say, on day three of House Guest and he's not yet done anything to get up my nose or under my skin. Does this mean I'm mellowing? Dog forbid.
