Underoos et al - June 2011

    morning everyone.
hello to juja sorry i didn't pop back in to see your greeting.
reggie sweetie : will pm you later today.

a beautiful pristine day in in the Great Southern of WA. A cool crisp morning with an outside temp of 3.8. been down to feed horses, greeted the shearers, retrieved Retriever from playing wirth shearers' dogs.
Said pleasant bye byes to Mother - thank god for small mercies i got throught the week without blowing my stack.....not that i ever do! gosh i'm such a good Taurean.
In tune with finding the positives here, it is amazingly gorgeous at this time of the day. No wind, cloudless blue sky, gentle mist, ah if we weren't farming i would love it. even so, it's hard to be grumpy waking up in the predawn chorus of the birds....that comes later!
if it weren't for my soothing baclofen buzz i'd be climbing the walls i should imagine.
today's plan : morning of faffing about, then funeral this arvo for a great old lady who was a true stalwart of the community, then a kiwi friend coming over to ride later - finally back on the nags after waaaay too long off 'em.
sheeping being sold on Monday, horses getting a pedicure on Tues, then up to Perth Thurs to jet to Melb on Fri morning! Looking forward sooooo much to the break, (hopefully) noice hotel, good cafes everywhere, & heaps of time for me as boyz doing footy both Sat & Sun. Then flying back to Perth Monday & drive back to farm Tues am.
    then.....well, who knows.
    so i've burbled long enough.
i hope you all have a good day today, TGIF for normal folk in the working world.
happy, rest up with your knee you poor thing!
tawny, bridge, angel, TECHIE you spunk, take care & will be back later this arvo.

actually i hate crowds, nearly borders on a phobia. only thing i'm really uncomfortable with, as far as phobias go.
as for working....well, respiration is work!
have you buggered a cruciate happy?

I hope not, but I think so. The elevate and ice is making it feel a bit better but I've got a fat knee thats for sure.

Carlton too matey. We went down last year for the Collingwood Carlton game and have been asked again in that sort of loose way that boys do? So I'm not totally certain thats why I hadnt mentioned it. I'm a bit crowd phobic too but I'm ok if people arrive after me which is weird.

hahaha i know what you mean.
i'm actually very un-sporty, which shits my husband to tears sometimes. he starts to talk to me about some game/match/sport & i sort of get a glazed look in my eyes....
gawd knows why he wanted to marry a non-sporty woman , being the fanatic he is! must of been my big tits................NOT.:H
my idea of good conversation involves food & animals. i should of been a food critic not a vet i think sometimes!

Hey, funny people. I REALLY need a laugh today, after dealing with absolutely WICKED renters, and trying to decide how to help the young dog I found there, starving. (I made sure he had food and water before I left!!!!)

                        hello again!

Techie - great to see your progress! I'm sure your fitness and generally positive attitude have made a whole heap of difference to your recovery.

Beags - good to see you ! 3.8 degrees?????? That's colder than it is here! But we are having a completely splendiforous winter this year - I haven't yet had occasion to wear the winter woolies that I pulled out of the cupboard a month or so ago! Have a great time in Melbourne and hope you get to catch up with at least one of the Undies!

Happy - snap! I have a completely fusked knee as a result of a (spectacularly unsuccessful :H) tackle on the soccer field 20 years ago. I've had surgery on it, and do LOTS of squats and lunges and other stuff to keep it strong and mobile. Last Wednesday I did something going up some stairs and immediately felt a twinge. Didn't think much about it at the time, but the next day I coud barely walk. Have been icing, strapping and elevating along with frequent applications of anti-flamme, but a week later it still isn't any better. This may surprise some, but I can authoritatively report that vegemite hasn't worked either. Maybe I' not applying it correctly?? :H Anyway, finally this morning I made a Drs appointment to get it seen to :upset: So ignore the girl's blouse comments (at some stage he will realise that he isn't invincible!!) and follow Sappy's advice. And have mega doses of glucosamine!

Angel, inspired by your interior decorating comments, this morning I bought new sheets, a new duvet cover and matching pillows. Tonight the bedroom gets a make-over!!!

Have just had my 5+ a day in a single lunch sitting along with tuna with a lemongrass and ginger dressing so feeling very virtuous!!

My brain has done one of those "head flips" this week. I've been feeling quite grumpy and whingey for about a month, but it is all heading out the door and I'm again feeling positive and optimistic. YAY
Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Wow Missy! Twins! Yep on the glucosamine for life, I hope its not the placebo thing but I've felt a difference a few months after i started. Latest ones are like horse tablets though...

Beags there's a beautiful golden retriever who gets around the dog park. George loves him. I calll out George and the retreviers owner calls out Washington. Dead set, we sound like idiots.

MH, he is for right now. Have e-mailed the 'pound' he came from, but it killed me to leave him. Unfortunately, I can do more about the dog, than the 4 small children in the house. I will be serving eviction papers to them tomorrow, but have already threatened them about what happens to the dog. He was STARVING! When I demanded food, they produced a small amount of cat food. He gobbled it like he'd never eaten, reinforcing my opinions. DANG!!! Wish I was rich enough to just bring them all home and re-home them!!
We can't have another dog, permanently, but I will follow him, and where he finds his family. He's a beautiful, maybe year-old German Shephard mix, and SOOOOO loving. Almost knocked me down with his 'lovin'! I'll help pay for his relocation, WISH I could send him to the Aussies, (instead of the blue-gum Rednecks who own him!!! :H
