Hey Stirly, great to hear from you and delighted you had an oul skype with jackser! I completely sympathize with you on the whole working thing, I've been finding life overwhelmingly busy lately. It's like a relentless roundabout sometimes. If you could just come home and put the feet up at the end of a day (like the men mostly can) it'd be handy enough. But I know in my case, I start my second job here at 6pm, and if I don't do anything - all the shite is still sitting there tomorrow - the day after -.................. Ooops I'm moaning!! You did hit a nerve with me today tho, cos I feel the same
:hallo: Molly. Thing is I'd been a bit spoiled the last few years. Younger son had joined the family business and he was out and about getting and delivering orders and collecting payments and such while Mr. Stirly minded the office. So I only worked once a week or once a fortnight and sometimes, only once a month. Younger son left just before Easter after yet another row with his father (Mr. Stirly is a hard worker and a very responsible businessman but very difficult to work with. Stressed out all the time and when he's upset, he tends to curse a lot. I'm not just saying this, he admits it himself. But God help he should ever try the slightest bit to change his those things. ) Anyway, the result is that I've had to pick up the slack and am now working 3 to 4 days a week, getting up at 6 a.m and not home til 5 pm and sometimes later. Younger son is still helping us out with some of the products that are include technical details that we haven't learned yet, but I now have to send faxes and e-mails that he was taking care of. (Mr. Stirly has no computer knowledge at all. Doesn't even know where the on/off switch is.) And they have to be written in Greek which I can do okay but it takes me much longer than English since they have to be professionally worded and of course correctly spelled. And I get a bit stressed doing them. Anyway, I am enjoying the contact with our customers and potential customers and am learning about new products, etc. etc. Now if we could just put a big piece of duct tape over Mr. Stirly's mouth, all would be well....:H:H

      Evening,

good to see you are back in the barracks stirly - had been wondering where you were. Also nice to hear about your Skype with Jackie. Must find out about Skype. Is it very technological?

Well done Cassia on getting your license. That was quick!

Actually managed to get out into the garden this morning and tidy it up a bit before it got too hot and it looks sort of presentable-ish, which doesn't happen as often as I would like.

Been blooming hot all day and I don't think it will cool down indoors until after midnight.

          Reccie -

Skype is the easiest thing. You join up, ask the person you want as a contact for their Skype name or you can search for them on Skype, request to add them as a contact, they agree, and you're off and running. You need to have a camera on your computer, either built in or one that sits on top of your screen and decent speakers. That's it. When you "Skype" with the other person, their face appears on your screen. As I said to Jackie - even tho' we're over 1600 miles apart, it was like we were sitting across the kitchen table from each other having a cuppa and a good gab. Only problem was, I couldn't give her a great big hug.

Good job on getting work done in the garden. Your weather sounds like ours. Hot and muggy all day. I've had the air on here for the last hour and a half to cool the place off before we go to bed...

Disappeared off there for a while cos a very lengthy e-mail came in and I had to read it all - twice.

Thanks for the info re Skype stirly. I'll have a look into it.

Molly - I was, of course, pulling your leg.

Hmm... just thought...wonder if there's a word that's the opposite of misogynists that describes people who dislike men?

                          Edit - night stirly!
