    Sounds like everyone had a good day - while I was slaving away at work... grumble grumble. Vicki - good to see you here again - sometimes, it is just so easy to dig into out little hole and not want to come out - that is what I do when i am down - which is really the time that we need our friends around us but I totally understand. Ruby - so pleased you had a good day - and I quite understand the nap - I slept in this morning 'cos I didn't feel good (darn cold) and sometimes that is just what the body needs...at OUR age. :l

      Hello everyone. I'll post tomorrow but wanted to check in. Things were really getting to me today. Actually told hubby that I was going to stop the antabuse. I'm grateful that he remembered our discussions before and he didn't try to 'fix' it. Or talk it into the ground. He made a couple comments and then just let it be. We talked a few months ago about sometimes a person just needs to vent to someone. They don't need it to be fixed. They don't need a lecture. They just need to get it off their chest. So, he remembered that. I'm feeling better now. And like RC says.......One foot in front of the other and repeat.

      Catch you all tomorrow. Thank you all for being here. It means a lot to me. :h

        Good Morning everyone. Nora - why is it that Hubs don't seem to realize that sometimes we just need to talk some stuff out - mine is the same! What did you say to yours to get him to understand that? I am so pleased he just listened and did the right thing for you - awesome. And so nice that we are all here for each other too - I love this thread/site.

        Biz - so sorry you are at the open house again - "sigh" - never mind - hopefully not for much longer eh? Hang in there friend.

        I am surprised that I am the first here this morning - everyone must be sleeping in - I am tempted to but made myself get up - my day off and I didn't want to waste half of it in bed. Lots to do - I need to get out in the garden before it gets too hot!

        Hugs to all of you - hang in there - love Rc's saying - one foot in front of the other and repeat!! Back later.

          Morning Sunshine and All! Nice to see you back Michael--sorry bout the real estate gig. Hope it works today. Temps went down to 16 C(62 F) last night and still no rain. Weird weather all around. Well I am going to keep busy today on my 1 day off. Lift your damn leg if you have too! jk

            Good morning, peeps. Dangerous heat extended thru today now....yuk! But "cooler" weather is on the way....90's is cooler, but it will be better than this.

            I have to get busy-I'm doing work for Biz today. And Michael? Maybe today will be your lucky day at the Open House (I can dream, can't I?)

              OH RC - I can only dream of 62 degree temps!!! As Grate said - we are supposed be having 'cooler' temps..... of 90-95 ROTFL !!!! BUT - a 40% chance of rain tonight - which would be lovely!! Lift our leg??? Curious....

                    Good morning everyone.

                    Sun - you know what made my hubby understand to just stop & listen to me??? He heard someone talking on the radio about it!!! He realized that he does that and talked to me about it. I said yes! Sometimes I am just trying to talk - I'm not asking for advise or for you to fix it. Just listen! So, he really tries. Some times he is better at listening than others. :H I think that he saw the look on my face yesterday and remembered that he should just listen.

                    Can't believe how hot all of your temps are! We are only in the mid 80's and we usually have scorcher temps.

                    Well - I just woke up & haven't even ventured out to check on everyone yet. Guess I should be a nice auntie and go say hello. :H:H

                              Well - I'm trying to figure out how I can use the steam cleaner. The carpet is awful since the kids have been here. But, they sleep in the living room and that is where their suitcases, backpacks, toys, etc are. We have such a small house. But, the carpet that I can see is dirty!!!:H:H:H

                                Yes, it truly is great. I feel a bit guilty he has to do it, but I've been so overwhelmed I haven't done anything well, so this will help.
                                It's 83F here, very muggy, so no complaints. Ya'll be so careful in this heat, OK? It's SO dangerous. Our high is supposed to be 85, tonight 69, and the hottest next week predicted is 93. We keep getting lots of stray showers, so the humidity is the hardest to deal with.
                                MIL is no better. She's lost 10 pounds, and that's not good. Never gets out of her houseshoes during the day, or goes out. FIL is worried a lot. Thanks for caring, friends. So many of us are dealing with our elderly parents now, and I no how hard it is for you.
                                I'll be back later. Have a good (cool!) day.
