      Hey everyone - just home from work and it was a long shift! Think all the odd folk were out today! we had someone who had bought a test prep book for some truckers test - he failed the test by two points and wanted to know if we would reimburse him for the TEST !!!!!!!! Not the book - but the actual test!!! I thought I had heard it all. Another lady had lost two gift cards and said that we were making money off of her and wanted us to reimburse her 'cos she had lost her gift cards!! Oh - but she still had the cardboard that they were originally stuck to - oh, and her husband is poorly. She didn't have the receipts but also didn't have the gift cards - so she said we were making a profit from her. AAAGGGHHHHH !!!

      Hope you all had a very good day. I am off tomorrow - still will be a hot one but I am hoping to get out in the garden for a little while, then I work the 4th.

      Swannie - you haven't let us down - and please just stay with us - Ruby, Nora, Vicki and Biz said all there is to say - we can't be plainer than that - you are important to us, and need to stay close. Just hang here and natter eh? the first few days are always really hard - I know that - so we just keep trying again - and again and again if need be - the important thing is to keep trying. And don't leave us. :l:h

        Good morning everyone, it is a beautiful sunny day here - it's going to be hot again. Perfect for playing by the beach and swimming etc. Even though I am on Holidays, I have to get to the gym today for sure.

        Ruby, it makes sense what the Sheriff says, in regards to tracking down those morons. Too bad, that people can get away with sensless damage. I do hope they get apprehended and are made to pay you back damages in a Civil court method. It is still different for me to read the word "sheriff", in Canada we have police officers and detectives, and constibles. Sheriff brings up so many images for me from my childhood You make some great points about enjoying our time each day, too true.
        Ringing, I so wish I could give you a big hug too. You must be feeling a lot of difficult emotions for sure. You are a great person, and you can ride through the storm. I hope you feel better today.
        Mama, yes I am thanks, the weather is great, and I am having a great time. I am thinking of you.
        Biz, I hear you about teenagers, I teach them ! They are a weird species for sure. My children are still young, so I have not had to parent them yet, thank goodness.

          Think I might clean up the garden this afternoon and replant. Very hot here too and they just keep cutting more trees down. Think how much cooler it would be if people only cut down a tree if it were absolutely necessary....Swannie, you just hang in there now. ...Hill, everyone warned me about the teen years and I thought not my kids..but boy was I wrong, it is tough. Well, gotta hit the homework...b

            Good morning All--it's another beautiful day and I'm up and out. Thank you all for your care and encouragement once again. Ah, the teen years--I missed them but when I listened to my friends struggles sometimes(just sometimes)I thought maybe it was a good thing. And then sometimes, I reminded them to count their lucky stars. Like in everything-do your best and hope for the rest. Swannie--you've done it before and can do it again. What got you on track then? We're all pulling for you girlie-take the rope.

                    Good Morning all! another steamy one here. Have to go to the store and am off now hoping it won't be too busy! RC - how are you feeling? Hill - reading "sheriff" for me is almost surreal - makes me conjure up memories of watching American movies on TV when I was in UK - never thought I would actually be living here!!

                    Bird, yes the teen years are hard, but like the terrible twos, (which for my two weren't that terrible), we do get through them - and not only that - but we survive them!! you are a good mum and you will be fine.......

                    Good Morning Tony and Rog! Rog - your day sounds just idyllic! Enjoy it. I plan on trying to get out in the garden until the heat drives me in - after going to the store first that is!

                      Sunni I am making myself grand--just got back from the garden centre--uh oh--everything half price though. Clematis, gorgeous fluted lilies, an indoor jasmine some little purple potatoe vines and purple spiky things(can't remember). Having a bucket of water and then out to look at the lawn mower!
                      Beaches, swimming and fishing sounds good guys (not the gym Hill-but go you!). I will enjoy my home today! xo

                        Hi Peeps...about to head to Sea Island and be indentured servants for Mom and Dad's annual Fourth of July bash....we are going to be setting up tents, etc. Mom is lucky I have two huge sons....and not girls!! Otherwise she would have had to hire some help.
                        All is well with me...back to work on Tuesday, but I plan on working and then lounging at Mom's pool...maybe finally finish a book
                        Vicki....you will laugh...I bought "my First Tomato Plant" at the grocery yesterday...Clay and I planted seeds and have them in the window sill.....I will keep you posted...I love tomatos and the ones at the store are just not that good....I am so sorry for Grateful's awful news...please give her my love
                        Rubes and Sunni....dealing with the public is so exasperating....people are bonkers. Rubes, you really got screwed, but I know you will get them. I agree, go tell the minister.....if that is even the truth.....
                        I had a guy climb in the attic once and cut all the electrical wire, smear feces all over the walls and paint Satanic symbols......he was threating me so bad I had to get a restraining order.....when the punk called the house....ahhhhh....let's just say Bret took the situation into his own hands.
                        Teenagers.......I just remember how cute my babies were when I want to slap them in the mouth for being smart asses....(I can't imagine where they got that from}
