Good morning everyone, I hope all is well. I am off to the gym, early again today. It has been so hot, it is nice to work out when it is still cool ish, and not so humid. ( I am a wimp for the heat ).



Hey Ringing, I have spent a lot of time on Georgian Bay, you are right, it is beautiful. Small world !
Sunshine, that is a lot of rain in one day, wow. We are getting the sunshine right now, let me tell you. We had a great day at the beach, hot and sunny.
Nora, it was. My kids are 7 and 1/2 and 6 years old, and they are so much fun to be with. We had a great time.
Barbara, that is really good that you went to the party, and had fun, and stayed af. I can't believe you are already on day 45, you should really be proud. It does take time to figure out the af life, and get used to things. I too am still learning to get adjusted - but I would not trade it for anything, for me, an af life has been wonderful - and it keeps getting better. I am still realising how my drinking, also isolated me, especially in my behaviour - not wanting to do something dumb, to tip the hand of my drinking, so I would not say or do some things, a slow decrease in confidence and in who I really was. Keep up the great work.

Fluff, Swann, we don't hear enough from you two! It makes it's so sweet when we do, but please don't be such strangers.
Bank is dragging us into 2nd month of negotiating buying property because we have our own stipulations for the loan (ie: not increasing our debt ratio/monthly expenses) and they don't like doing things that weren't their idea. The amount is less than what cars sell for, for crying out loud. About ready to tell them to stuff it and create our own financing! We now have 2 houses to rent, and I HATE this process. Wish I had a lie detector to use when I interview people.
Hope everyone had a great 4th. It's sure quiet here.

Hill - so pleased you had a good day yesterday - sounded really good fun. You are so good off to the gym - I used to do that :H:H I kid myself that working in a bookstore I don't need to go to a gym!! I love hearing how different your life is for you AF - I think for anyone who is struggling, it would be so good to read that and would be such a help to them - it always sounds so positive and you always sound so good about it and very happy with your decision!

Ruby - gosh, you life sounds a continual struggle with the bank and renters - quite a mental drain I would imagine. Don't you wish sometimes you didn't have all that hassle? I know it must make you really fed up with people and I understand wanting to use a lie detector - I wish I could at work with the public sometimes!!

It was great to see you here fluff - you have been missed. What have you been up to?

Swannie - nice to see you popping in too - you need to be around more as well. How are things going for you? Hugs to you :l

Anyway - I am soon off to the vets to have Maggie checked out - she is doing so well but needs her shots - well, maybe just her rabies - might not bother with all the others. She is doing so well I am amazed. The way she was in April, I didn't think she would still be around now, Bless her little cotton socks.

Good Mornong Jambers hope everyone enjoyed the 4th. I hade my father and the family over to bergers and brats. It was a very nice time but getting hotter. Well today is the big day Taking all that I have learned from Easy way and Allen Carr tonight I will have my last drink I realy feel this is going to go very well I know it will take some time to adjust and feel the power but I really have faith. He really puts things in perspective. So within a week I wiil feel Ureka!!!! I am free for life. I know I will have some hard times but I will keep reading his 13 rules and if need be i will go to his clinick in NY for a day. I must do this and I will not regreat it!!! got to run Robbie needs to see the eye Dr. he just got contacts like me but needs to be checked out after a week of whereing them Have a great day

Hi Ruby, Sunny, Hill, Roger, Vicki-and everyone else...What have I been up to? Just got back from Florida- and I got really sunburnt! I'm still peeling. After going for quite sometime not drinking-decided to imbibe down in Florida-it was a "screw-this" attitude-I'm on vacation-so somehow have to learn to get around those challenges. And so I'm back on the wagon once again- the never-ending cycle of insanity, it seems.

Sun, THANK YOU!!! I am BEYOND a Patriot, trust and believe in this country and it's people. I absolutely got chills from that, and what a fabulous idea!! I wish it happened more, and in more places.
Another day, but most of the layers of filth are removed, and the house is almost ready to show. I'm going to make some changes in what I will and won't do, since Hubs won't get rid of any of our stuff. Now I'll be doing what I excel at - tracking them down and torturing them.
Oh, and their cat(?) has 3,4 adorable 8-10 wk old kits under the house. Of course, they just left them. So, I'm stuck with catching, caring for, and re-homing them all. Really, do young people have NO ethics anymore?

Big thunderstorm right on top of us again. 3 dogs, 2 with storm PTSD, a possessed cat in a crate, and me. It's only 82 outside, hasn't been awful, but it's never the heat, it's the stupidity! I finally got home from cleaning, go in to the sanctuary (you know, the TOILET!!) and Hubs arrives to stomp around the laundry room(?) finally says 'Are you gonna start cleaning the house?' WTF?? I want to say, 'No, I'm gonna put on an inch of makeup and go Cha Cha dancing!' Another day, another knife! :H

I just wanted to peek in and say hello to all and to thank you for the birthday wishes and also to thank those of you who have reached out to me over the past few weeks. I think about you all often and hope you are enjoying the summer. I've not fallen off the face of the earth yet and I am doing my best to keep my chin up. One thing is for sure:
I am NOT drinking. No matter how depressed and down I have gotten, drinking is NOT the answer for me.

I think I have finally caught up on all the posts I have missed out on-wow! There has really been alot going on.

Let me just say that I think of you all as my only friends - and I find it so hard at times to not have a physical friend (no-I don't mean you are my imaginary friends!!). Now I am sounding crazier than I am, so I will sign off for now.
