well looks like everyone is doing good and i have some good news .. after sending out my resume and replying to all the job adds online ....i got one reply and their be calling me sometime next week .. and at least i got a responce.. and got one thing to repair on a bar i rebuilt many years ago tomorrow a dog ate one pi of trim that goes around a bend and had to sweat it and let it sit over night..so its easier to work with and some solar on friday ..

It is very hot here too Sun. I know what you mean about the garden. I see many elderly here working their gardens. Can smell the smoke from okeefenokee swamp fire this morn. Was really bad last weekend. Took the kids to the shop yest to clean out the car and they were so hot. Thats good news about the job T...later folks..

Good morning everyone, I hope that you are doing well. The nice weather continues here. So nice, actually, that I have been repairing my driveway (yuk). You want to talk about tar, I am in the tar all right. I hate this job, but oh well, it has to be done. Be the end of today I should be finished for another year. I am getting older, I can still do the work, it's just that I am more tired after, and the next day, I feel like I was run over by a train.

Hello all. I went to bed early last night b/c I was just tired and a bit vexed by the cluster f**k of annoyances swarming around me lately. Not complaining, mine are just annoyances compared to some many of the things ya'll are facing.
Sun, I'd rather be in prison than confined to an apartment/condo, etc. Hubs has gotten an occasional wild hair aabout buying a house in a little button-downed community with postage stamp lawns, and I've reminded him we've lived wild, IN the wilds, far too long to survive in a little space. Besides, plants, animals, children, family are such a big part of life for us, we just live too big for a little space. And I know he would hate it, very soon. Funny, you tell your hubby he could move to a condo; when people ask if we're ever going to move to the cabin, I tell them I am, and I've invited Hubs to join me if he wants! Gardens, plants, the soil, and being able to touch, nurture, produce from it, I believe touches something primal in ourselves. I love how you describe your compost pile!
Bird, I bet it is steamy down there now. We've been getting some nice showers, and the temps here have been comparatively nice, especially compared to the rest of the country. No complaints from me!
Maddie is supposed to be coming to work on my garden path today, and my sweet little cousin is coming to steam clean the rental property carpet. She has her own cleaner, and since I have to pay someone, and she needs the money, it works out well.
Hill, sorry to hear you sounding so down. I hope soon things get better, easier for you. And T, I really hope the work thing comes through for you too.
I heard on the news that Obama's work incentive program has ended, and analysts have calculated the few jobs that WERE created each cost approximately a quarter million $ each. And we're NOT talking rocket scientists here!
RC, I hope you're finding you level again. How's the business doing? Are you finally settling in after all the move?
Barb, the country is stunned by the Anthony trial. One of the jurors said 'I didn't say she was innocent.' Now her lawyer's trying to figure out what to do with her. The death threats are pouring in, living with her parents is out of the question, and there's no where on earth she can hide or expect any semblance of a normal life again. I have a feeling this is all going to end very badly for her.

Good morning, family! So glad to be back home, but we did have a good time. It was really nice just to get away and lay on the beach and bake! The firework show was spectacular! My brother always makes these delicious fruity drinks and he hands me a strawberry daiquiri and without thinking, I took it and ended up drinking it. I didn't get drunk at all, because he makes them so weak, so I'm thinking this is okay, but now I realize that way of thinking will get me back into real trouble! Grateful and Fluff, so happy to see you pop in! Please don't be strangers! We are your family! Melissa, why have you been hiding in the corner? Is everything ok with you? Did you receive those dvds yet? RC, great news that you are having business and making sales! Ruby, so proud of you for giving up those smokes! I wish I "wanted" to bad enough to go through it, but currently don't! You know we all love you and we love your posts and all your wisdom! Barb, congrats on 47 AF days and quitting smoking! You go girl! Roger, praying you get the job! Nora, I have very few friends, too. It's kinda hard when you live so far from civilization, so I am very thankful for each and every one of you! MB, how is your little tomatoe plant doing? It usually takes 90 days to have ripe tomatoes and they require all day sun and lots of water. I'm excited you are feeling better! I need one of those shots, too! I have NO energy today and my kids are all coming this weekend, so I need to clean house and put up tomatoes, squash and okra. Oh, well, I might as well do a fly by too! Thinking of you all today. Vicki-glad you got home safely. Hope you don't overdo it cleaning, etc. I am going to a funeral tomorrow for a 17 yo boy that my son went to school with - one of 4 boys who were killed last weekend in a car accident....I am just devastated as is my son. This boy was just at our house last week fishing.......I cringe everytime Jeremy drives out the driveway.

Just sent an e-mail to my bro and sis re: land we own jointly, and people driving across one of my renter's front lawns to get to it b/c they don't take their gate keys with them down there, and now they are both pissed with me. WTF? I was polite, even joking, but haven't heard a word from either of them in 8 months, so certainly wasn't expecting this crap. NEVER, EVER, leave property to your children jointly. EVER!
