Hi Loons of my Life.:H:h I made it in record time but not much sleep. I had a good practice on my run to Ruby's.
Dad still in hospital - stable but lots of issues and complications. After a couple of topics, his girlfriend piped up--OMG you are your father's daughter. And I have to agree.
Just making some supper with his girlfriend and back to the hospital--I think I will sleep well tonight! Be well friends! xoxoxoxo

RC, I'm glad things are well for you, at least. And so glad you're able to be there with him. Rest, take care, and keep us informed, OK? Put up 2 gallons of dill pickles this afternoon, while I dealt with a sick cousin and tenants who came to pay but LOVE us so, they visit for hours! Burgers on the grill now, (showed the prop for an hour) and Hubs ass has been glued to leather couch in front of big screen all day, so I'm NOT feeling the love here! (THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT KILL.........)
If you go to the interactive Google maps, 2366 Georgia Hwy 255, Georgia, United States, you can move down to see and rotate to see the bridge, and the old Stovall Covered Bridge to the right. If you look UPstream, you'll see a large green (pine) tree in the background of the mountain, and that's beside the cabin. It's right behind the rock shoals by the bridge. I like to sometimes take a virtual tour of places I love when I'm stuck somewhere else.

Sun, that was my question all day!! I hope everyone was out having a great Saturday with their family. My husband doesn't understand the concept of a day off, or fun, or enjoying oneself other than sitting in front of a big screen, drinking beer, and watching Nascar! OH! And reminding me what I should be doing.
Had a long, interesting, productive day yest. Talked to a young couple at length about a rental; made lots of pickles; 'entertained' the young couple of renters who think we are the most wonderful people they know (:H), checked on my figs, pears, herbs; made cookies for no reason and a pasta salad and grilled Bubba Burgers for supper; brushed, bathed, fed animals; cleaned house, and talked to ya'll. In the past, drinking, I would have accomplished nothing, and by the end of the day been such an inutterably miserable person I couldn't have stood myself (or be passed out - worse BLACKED out,drunk). When I was like that, it was NOT me.
While I seriously considered buying cigs yest, I didn't. Don't praise me - I am EVIL right now without them! But everyone lived and I really want to make this time work. I've already saved $60-70, in just over a week. Every thing is positive, except my cravings, so I shall perservere.
Sorry for my bit of a whine. It's Sunday, so have a great day of worship, of family, of rest, and sobriety.

Awwwh, Bird Woman, how sweet to think of me! But $79!! Wow, must have been REALLY unusual!
Diet Coke is my next demon to tackle. How do we allow these things into our lives?? I've spoken here often of my Granny Chit, who was born on Indian territory in 1891. I wish I'd known, before she died, how remarkable that, and SHE, was. She always wore a bib apron with pockets. This was the 50's, and we NEVER had junk food, etc., around, but one day I found something in a little pack in her pocket and asked her about it. She laughed at me (I believe she was evil too!!) and said 'Try it!'. It was tobacco, her secret vice! Now I have no AL, no tobacco, have to give up Diet Coke-------------what will I do, start trolling the streets for men so I can have a vice??

good afternoon everyone hope you are all having a great Sunday. I am here sitting the open house I starting to think this freaking house will never sell!!!!! anyway My garden is the best garden I have ever had it is taking off cucombers pepers tomatows zukenney the works Ho even lettus!!! I just placed my seed order for fall planting who would figure that you can grow stuff right through the first frost. I have been reading up on the subject and having a blast growing things that we can eat. Keep you posted

Biz, so great to hear about your garden!! Start to think about a fall garden, cool weather veggies. At least you won't starve, even if the house doesn't sell.
Rog, 'Good Morning', at 5 till Noon!! :H You crack me up. I wish I could get hubs, or renting prospects, or doctor's appointment offices, to wait till after 10 to call, but NO! 8:03 or earlier!! I slept till nearly noon once, in about 1985!
Sun, yes, the ball and chain really intrigued me. Bird, if you come back and see this, let me know the name of the place because I'd LOVE to know more about that! For the rest of you, Birdy's daughter's slept upstairs at the cabin, and I have an antique wooden ironing board ('Storey Ma's') and iron 'iron's' I've collected for, hmmmm, MANY years. I was told they put the cast irons on the wood stove, left them heat up, then used them to iron their clothes. Now, there were NO manufactured fibers, and people wore their clothes more than one day, but still! I love all cotten clothing, and it DEMANDS ironing after washing. I wonder, as one of my Granny Chit's youngest granddaughters, how many will remember this kind of thing?
