        Good morning, folks!

        We're getting hot and humid weather, with heat indices at 100 degrees or so. I have the air conditioners on, which I hate, but the alternative would be so miserable. I dislike feeling so closed off from outside.

        Welcome back, mama! I'm glad you survived your corporate road trip. :l

        Morning Tony and Sun...I think I'll head over to Sun's back yard for some breakfast. The pickings are pretty slim around here!

          House Finch Dilemma...

          Peeps...does anybody here know about house finches? A lovely little lady made a nest in my roman blinds on the front porch...and she's been "sitting" for approximately four weeks. The incubation period is 12 days or so, so I wonder if she's sitting on bad eggs. I really need to clean the porch and I would love to be able to enjoy it. I've been avoiding the porch so I don't disturb her. I'm thinking of approaching the nest. When she flies away, I'm going to hold a mirror up to the nest to see what's going on in there. Any advice?

              Maybe she only laid them a few days ago Fen? Maybe up until then she was just making sure she had a bed ready? Just a thought..... Have just come in from watering and grabbed a few weeds while I was out there - SOOOO hot - I am positively glowing. ROTFL

                      Hey All. Lazy day in the sun in between laundry loads. I googled it Fen and my first thought was yes they are done but maybe Sunni is right. Another week should tell? Dad out of hospital again. Apparently they told him in December 5-9 weeks and have been giving him morphine for pain. He doesn't seem to know what the 5-9 weeks mean though. I just can't go again.

                        Hi MB - my phone was dead - Hubs said that I must remember to charge it !!! LOL He had called too - and my daughter and they both then called the house phone asking where I was!!! It is being charged as I write!!

                          good afternoon and just thank you for all Pm's and calls .. but just know I'm fine and doing what i want ... there no work and all the add that come in i reply to and well let me set the record strait.. I'm not beating myself up over what i choose to do on Friday night and Saturday yes i drink and well shit happens and as for the future. i cant say i will not drink again ..all i can say is that right now I'm not drinking..its my choice . i have been sober for more then 3 years plus so many months and i have learned alot within that time and for one thing i cant drink if I'm broke so that a plus side and i have seen this coming for some time now and have thought about it and in many ways talk with sue about things and i cant say she is fine with it but will not start an argument over it... so life goes on and its great to see everyone posting and melissa thankx for sharing and keep doing the right thing for you ... well love and big hugs keep shifting forward and thinking positive
