Hi, ladies and gents. Tony-your dogs are so very cute!! I used to have a chi many moons ago...now I have 2 BIG, HAIRY dogs.....I want to shave my siberian huskey but Hubs won't let me .....so the carpet always has chunks of his shedding hair on it.....seconds after the vacuum has been run!!

I'm in the heat with the rest of you......I had to run out to go to the bank for my boss and I could not believe the difference 2 hours made.....not good especially for the elderly. I hope my mother-in-law is down at my house in the air conditioning.


Ruby-I feel for you....you obviously have way too much going on. Please don't burn out....a wise, southern lady told me once to learn to say "no" and take care of myself.:h

My dear Rog, I agree with Sunny and Rubes that you don't have to count the AF days, just do the best that you can. I agree with Sunny , counting gives too much emphasis and therefore, more stress. No, you don't need that! A day at a time, my friend. That's what we all do here. Trying to lock a job down is hard enough and I know what's that like. Keep your chin up and hang in there! You CAN do it! I send you my love.

Grate, dear, stuff just pours in to my life, you know. But I know who I am, and my only problem is keeping done what I think is important. Unfortunately, everything that comes across my plate seems important.
I have a recurring dream of being back at work, 99% of the time at the Post Office. Can I be diagnosed with PTST? Last night, I was back there, trying to get all the mail ready for the route, not knowing where I was going, and it took me till night to get out for delivering. Truly, how many of you have nightmares about your last paying job? Oh, and I couldn't get out the door to load my jeep, then found a whole HUGE tub of packages I hadn't figured on, and the supervisor came by and told me I couldn't be paid for the day, they'd changed that route to a non-paying one. AND I dreamed I knew I was dreaming THAT dream again. No wonder I wake up tired and stressed!
My MIL was diagnosed as having a very low thyroid. They prescribed drugs, of course, but I'm still not confident. I told her the next time she goes in, I want to go with her, and I'm going to get a copy of her bloodwork, and it seemed to make her so happy. Well, another commitment for me, but she deserves it. Only Hubs, my daughter, or I will make sure she's getting the right care, so I would hope someone would do it for me.
Tay wanted me to pay for an on-line degree giving her a diploma in business for a test she took (on-line). I went over to get her to discuss it during a terrible lightening storm, but I told her it sounded too good to be true, I'd research and let her know. All my bells went off when I called, and finally determined by researching it was a scam, based in the United Arab Emirates. They've suckered in a lot of servicemen, looking to upgrade their positions. The salesman called me after 10:30 last night, and got really personally nasty after I told him No Sale. I said some politically incorrect things about his heritage, and we ended on bad terms when I cut him off! :durn:
Other stuff going on, of course, but this is my life, and it's a great one. I'm blessed that I have people who respect me enought to come to me for my opinion and help, though it does tire. No day is dull! :H

I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Paul is working out of town and I have been reading! My hands hurt too bad to do anything else, like type! My doctor referred me to a specialist. My appt is Aug 16 and I will have the surgery, if that is what they suggest.
Ruby, ditto to everything you said to and about Roger! Everyone...I don't believe in counting days, either, for the same reason, that is why I DON'T do it myself! I was just concerned about our beloved Roger, who doesn't have anything to prove to anyone but himself! I am so sorry everyone is feeling the heat! Like Ruby, it's not that bad here, but, of course, we are used to it here in the South! RC, I'm so glad your business is doing so good! Where is Roger's resume that you fixed for him? I'm so sorry you pulled a muscle in your back and I hope you feel better soon. Effie, thank you for your sweet compliments! I really enjoyed talking with you, too! I'm so proud you have cut back on your alcohol. Grateful, Nora, Sunni, Tony, Roger...I love you all and I love any of you that I have overlooked. Please forgive me. I'm finally here, folks! Had to take my mum out to the cardiac clinic to have some sort of nuclear something-or-other heart test. Took two and a half hours. Then we stopped and had some lunch. Keeping my fingers crossed that she's okay! :h

I know what you mean, though. My last words to my dad were "I love you..." No regrets with him at all, although one of my sisters can't say the same. Now it's too late for her to change things.:h

Fen, my Daddy's last words, to anyone, were to me and he said I love you. It may account for the grief I'm getting from my bro and sis now, since we all know how much his wishes were disrespected. It's all OK for me; I'm at peace with the most important person in my life, Daddy. They are not. The money, inheritance, doesn't matter. It's that we both forgave each other for our transgressions, and knew that we loved one another.
You're being a wonderful daughter. Hard as it is, be sure your Mom has everything she wants done spelled out. I know, it's horrific, and I refused to talk about it with Momma. It's come back to haunt me that I didn't listen and understand what had been told her.
I've found out out my MIL is severely anemic, so my concern is increased. I've spent half the day talking to Hubs, her other son who lives a county over, and my son, daughter, and SIL. I PRAY this is overkill on my part, but I see her every day, and she's tired, and weak, and can't eat. I'm worried, because she is a history journal walking, and I care about her.
So I watch, and listen, and do what I've learned from in the loss of my parents. Hubs has been already to visit, son will come later, and daughter is arranging her schedule to get here. Again, I hope this is overdrive on my part, but she's at an age, and behaving SO differently, and I'm the only one who sees her daily, to worry. Hopefully, I'll be chastised by all for jumping the gun. Don't know how else to put it. Hubs, our children, his 1/2 brother and family, have been so lucky to have such healthy, strong family, they take it for granted. She has no daughters, so my daughter and I will fill in that role.
Again, I've taken up time with me. I apologize, but this is my life right now. And there's CERTAINLY no time to think of AL. I'll always think of you, and your posts, but right now my concentration is on the last remaining member of my MIL's family, her. I told someone today I expect her to outlive me, and that could very well be true. So, that's what I've done today, along with about a million other things! :H

I am sick. I have started on the Oil of Oregano but I am sick. I feel lousy. I want to whinge. I have a lousy rotten cold. My throat is killing me. I sort of felt it coming a day or two ago and should have started the Oregano then darn it. Whinge whinge whinge. Hope everyone else is having a good day. Humbug. And I left my phone at work.

Sore throat
A gargle made from apple cider vinegar and hot water could prove to be a great relief for a sore throat - be that a bacterial or virus infection. The solution is a 50/50 mixture, and it is best to spit out the solution after gargling, which should be repeated every hour. After gargling rinse the mouth with clean water to prevent the acid from eroding the enamel on your teeth. Also take a vit C every 2 hours. Feel better Flower. xo
