                  Just went and talked to MIL. She seems to be withering away in front of me. Everyone has always counted on her power and strength, but now it's fading. I told her I wanted to see all her meds, and daughter is trying to come tomorrow. I've called her other son, and both my children, and told them now is the time, whatever happens, to rally around their matriarch. She's supposed to give me all her med info, (not trash it like she usually does), so I can check out what she's taking, but I'm pushing Hubs to call the doc for more info. She has 3 appts next week, and I'll be there. Hubs is SO busy, and everyone else seems so complacent, like she'll live forever. Whatever differences we've had, now is the time she needs someone to hold her hand. I wish it was one of hers, but if it isn't, it will be me. Hubs has been called, and he probably will take off to be with her, because it seems he's always been her favorite. Pray this is just a false scare, but I'm worried.

                      Thank you, FF. This is the only place I have to come to unload. It's been a wicked crazy afternoon. Have talked to MIL, SIL, dau, and Hubs, no one else but FIL (I won't get into what I think there) sees more each day than I do. I'm praying this is not the end for this, but I can't tell you how much she has changed, in a week or so, and how worried I am about her. She's always been the tower, like both my parents were, so I've been there. Doing all I can to look after the situation. Hubs is so occupied with work problems, and now this with his beloved Momma. This just came on us so suddenly, but I'm doing all I can to let her family know she needs them right now. Doesn't seem right that others have to fit it in there schedule when Hubs and I are here, but that's how it is. Just got off the phone with SIL, says daughter is trying hard to rearrange her on-call schedule this weekend to come. She means SO much to MIL. Will keep prodding the others. Again, God knows I hope this is a false alarm, she's 84 and this is so different. But I don't want them to miss the things I did, if it isn't.
                      I hate to unload what may be a false alarm. Just need somewhere to talk. Thank you all.

                        Hang in there Rubes--maybe some of them really can't just drop and go. I wish I could go to my father again but I just can't but I am glad I did make that whirlwind trip a week ago. Prayers that your MIL rallys. For you>:l

                              I am here....just so damned busy...we are all fine.....I never see the boys...they are growing up stay busy with their friends, sports, jobs, etc........
                              Bret is good, too......ornery as ever, but I love the idiot.
                              Work is crazy...and yes I amtaking a few days off in August for a family reunion and see Dad
                              have you noticed we all have ailing parents???
