    Nora, just throwing a bunch of things I like in a blender (yogurt, frogen fruit, melons) makes great smoothies. I have them for meals.
    I'm having a problem of just breaking the habit of having a drink at all times in my hand, usually diet coke. I've been making organic sweet ice tea, with honey, and we're going through a lot of it. Good luck.

      Good morning everyone! Anniversary? :huh: Not that I can remember... not wedding and not keeping up with AF dates, so don't think it is no ocassion for me, but thank ya'll anyway! :H Hey, Maslow and welcome back! Fen, wonderful news about your Mom! RC, glad your Dad is doing well. The lake is absolutely beautiful! It looks so peaceful and soothing! RC, I have beautiful, huge lillies like that, but mine are white and they do smell like jasmine! Your bell pepper plant looks so healthy, maybe you'll get some more peppers. Nora, I am so sorry your knees are hurting. I think pain is the worst trigger for me. Why don't you google your antidepressant and look at the possible side effects. I take so much medication and I really believe half my problems come from that...but when your doctor puts you on something, what do you do? I don't take as much meds as he prescribes, but enough to make me drowsy, can't remember anything or focus and other areas that concern me. Nora, I know you are having a time with the kids. When do they go home? I completely agree with you about your neighbor, but I think you talking to the kids about not being able to afford "everything they want to do and appreciating what they do get to do" was really important. It is a real shame how so many of our kids today just want, want, want, without any understanding of how hard money is to come by. Roger, I hope you have a great day and get that call back. Well, after 13 days, Paul bought a fifth of Jim Beam, drank half of it Sat night and the other half last night. I felt so let discouraged, but I am going to STOP focusing on his alcohol problems and focus on mine, because mine has been roaring its ugly head lately, but I'm not going back there to the guilt, condemnation and self hatred!         good morning all today seems to be a little cooler here. As for diat coke it is poision being border line diabetic I like to use a small portion of REAL fruit juice nothing added and then the rest water I try to drink 3 leiters a day keeps me full and sugars down. well off to see Greatful have a great day every one.

                  Don't know how much med news ya'll read, but one of today's top story's is about an unprecedented wave of expiring drug patents, which mean many that people have to take that were patented, will now have much cheaper generic brands. Just be careful with generics, read your labels, and see if the effects are the same.
                  It's 73F and showers here, and of course I've had a triple busy day, but a good one. Cooked a huge Sunday meal yest (tender beef roast with onions and gravy, corn on the cob, seasoned rice, green beans and potatoes, biscuits, and a full plate of tomatoes, cukes, sweet onions, so tonight is leftovers. Hubs is so spoiled, he hates L/O, but I remind him of the starving children in China (that's what I was told as a child, but I think it's Africa now, and my heart cries out to those children). Anyway, not cooking tonight, except for bread. MIL has nagged me today about things, but I don't mind really. She has 3 hospital tests this week FIL can take her to. Dau took home all the paperwork she could yest to study and get seen, and the men in the family seem to just stand around figuring out what to do. But I'll go to the doc appt for the reading, and get copies of everything to get 2nd opinion on. I'm way behind on my appts, but I'm fine, so I'll get to them soon. Hope you're all being safe, sober, and getting through the bad stuff. Love to all.
                  Nora, what made your son decide to move? I know you have concerns, and I understand them. Just let him know, with the mistakes he's made, this is not an excuse to turn loose. Momma's can't help to worry, whatever stage of life our children are in, but praying all will be wonderful. Enjoy those children. So great your neice can call on you as a trusted g'mom, and it really seems they love to be there!

                    Talked myself out of a funk I was getting into earlier...no use worrying about things that may never even come to pass, right?

                    Also, I have news about Mrs. Finch. Hubs Finch has made a few visits to the Missus today...and they've had some excited chatter between them. I wonder if those eggs of hers are hatching? I hope so! I was going to use them as garnishes for Coco's bass shakes at Dos Gatos. :H

                        Awww, Grateful...Mrs. Finch has been sitting there so long, I assumed the eggs were duds. I wouldn't put anything healthy or fresh in one of Coco's bass shakes!

                            Missing Birdie! When she was recently at the cabin I showed her the dove nesting in the porch beam (remember, I posted pics!) Haven't been back to see how things 'came out', but it was so lovely and peaceful to see her/him sitting on the handrail when it was hot, or after dark those big luminous eyes warily looking down at us! We avoided that end of the porch to give them their privacy, since it was SO lovely to have those birds trust us to build their home there. When it gets cold, I'll take down the nest. I've had nests of every kind at cabin, some definitely NOT pleasant!
                            Hubs gone to do another house showing! WOOHOO!!! Of course, I take the calls, do the PR. But this helps so much.
