    Army Thread 3th July 2011

    Morning all,

Well I went through the heart pounding should I shouldn't I. Searched 423 times to see if some one had started the thread.

And prolly while I type this someone will have started another two.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

      Morning ladies
I was out walking the dog. Gorgeous day here.
I'm drinking iced coffee this morning. Makes me think of Greece.

I miss living by the sea. The pond in the woods is just not cutting it.
Searching prices to get to the Channel Islands-Jersey or Guernsey. Have any of you ever been?

Tee hee so am I, with a slightly overweight rather smelly Black Bess beside me.

I'm ashamed to say she's never had an bath while we've had her. Just a good grooming once a week and a spray of fabreeze.

Been to Jersey, Expatty, but it was a very long time ago. But oh it's gorgeous, I'd love to go back.

I tried to go two years ago with the kids. We were in Normandy and could see Jersey! But when I tried to buy the ferry tickets-they asked for passports! And then explained that I could not take a minor child there without them because it is not a part of the EU. And of course I hadn't brought our passports to Normandy! The ferry is pretty expensive-about 120 euros return ticket for two. Leaving from St. Malo. I have friends who say going to Thailand for a week's holiday works out cheaper than a weekend in France! What with the cost of hotels, restaurants, travel etc.
Pug dog is getting a bath today too. He stinks. His mouth too. Yuck. Maybe I need to clean his teeth. I've had dogs all my life and have yet to brush a dogs teeth but the little guy is starting to be very unpleasant to be around.
I have not heard Tips mention his dog in quite awhile. Did I miss something? Does he still have Jasmine?

Oh good!!! Mine has been on "hopeful" for ages now! I guess I'll just leave it like that for now,hee hee.
My son left for summer camp yesterday. The house is eerily quiet. The daughter leaves tomorrow for Corsica. Luckily, I have loads of work this week to keep me busy.

Yeh I know what you mean, too much time on our hands can be dangerous. Why not take some time out of your busy schedule, now that your kiddies are away and do something really nice for you that you never find the time for.
