    Army Thread 4th July

Yeh fair play to Starty for completing her course, choose very carefully JC.

Its cornflakes with ice cold milk, fresh blueberries and raspberries for moi. Looked like something out of an advert.
Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

      Morning JC
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

Spoilsport you did a Reggie, now my post looks daft.
'Nothing new there' I hear a chorus of voices pipe up.

                    KT, darling.

It's only 2 years ago I couldn't go 6 hours without a drink. In fact the 4th/5th July was my turning point. I'm still trying to write me story I've got bits of paper all over the place they just need condensing.

Ah I am just typing out loud here JC. Its been months since I was very drunk so thats a huge positive to build on. The long term AFs who continue to post make more of a difference than they probably realise btw.

Ahh but you see logging in here every day is essential to my sobriety, so I'm a bit selfish in that way.

I've been round and round the houses trying to get myself sober and MWO was the only one that clicked.

Does that mean the people who get long term sober and then disappear overnight are back drinking? Maybe some are, some others stay dry but just move on and then there are those here who continue to post and help others. I do understand in that helping others we are helping ourselves but that still takes lots of commitment I reckon.

Crikey KT, you're coming out with some hard ones this morning.

Does that mean the people who get long term sober and then disappear overnight are back drinking?
Do you know, I don't know. I hope not. My hope is they move on to some other support like AA or SMART. The thing is I do believe you can't do this alone.

As for the commitment thing for myself it's dead easy. I just the 'puter on and log in. I mean how many other places can you peel the spuds, eat your breakfast, iron a few shirts, then pop in to do a bit of posting.

Sorry......just in reflective mood. Hahaha beware when KTAB flys the 'inspired' or 'pensive' mood tag, for questions and opinions will follow.
