    Army Thread 4th July

I think when I had my 3 months sober I got a little complacent in coming here, as if I was cured, and I didn't make the time for the people who had helped me get there and paid the price for doing so. I hope other people haven't made that mistake, but I do get great motivation for those here that are years sober yet still visit daily to check in.

Being selfless is one of the greatest things I hope to get out of sobriety.

      Yo EW,

      What did the doctor say?

Complacency was my biggest downfall too.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Dr talked a bit about my past, counselling once more, and just generally how I was feeling. Physically I have been fortunate as I am still in relatively good condition - nothing that a few years of sobriety and exercise/good eating can't reverse.

I have some anti-depressants, and some Thiamin and away we go...

I'm grand thanks for asking EW. Not getting much work done this morning though, oh well not to worry. Think I will take an hour out and take the dogs up to the forest. I can get stuck in later.

Yes JC - finally I have found one who cares rather than the 3-4 I have had who just think the answer is to 'stop drinking'. Well sheeeeyut, if only I had thought of that!

What is it you do KTAB?

                        Army Thread 4th July

morning all, interesting thread this morning - I get very bad at posting here when I'm not drinking, I'm less social in general and being younger and less experienced than most round here don't really feel I have much to offer by being here, oddly I feel more able to contribute, give advice and post when I'm drinking regularly - hence why lately I'm around all the damn time xD Of course once it gets to the point where I realise I've well and truly fallen off the wagon I'll disappear completely for a few months/a year/a while xD then reappear and start again. Lets face it, I'm just predictable like that - not much for sticking to my resolve.

Ew: Glad all went well at the doctors, wishing you the best - hows the girlfriend?

Starty: sending hugs your way, well done on finishing up your course

JC and KTAB: enjoy your sunning/walking respectively

anon, mario, tips, Panno and anybody yet to come - have a great day

I have faced it, a life wasted, and I am never going back there again

To ya'll my name is inchy. I am an alcoholic - and priority number one is making it to the end of this day AF. No excuses.
