Army Thread 14th July
We are choosing a calmer way to celebrate though-I prefer to avoid the madness of all the crowds in Paris. Also, because it does not get dark here until very late, the fireworks display does not start until almost midnight. So there is no way I'm dragging my child out into that craziness. Instead, we are going to the Versailles gardens where they have all the gorgeous fountains going and classical music. We are bringing a picnic. And then tonight-there is a fireworks display near my house-we can watch it from my bay window (I live on the 2nd floor) in our pj's! I live just outside of Paris-kinda like Blackrock to Dublin.

Yeah yesterday went fine, but by the time I got home my whole head hurt - even my teethBit of tension I s'pose - today is a big one as well - goin to a big branch that has loads of technology I've never used - so pretty apprehensive, but just glad I've got started. Off tomorrow which is nice - even if I do have to work Sat.
Daughter and boyfriend just got news that their appeals on their visa have been allowed - and now they are all booked to come home and their apt. subleased - what a friggin mess.
Enjoy your long weekendWait!! Canada is saying they can stay now???? And now they have to leave? OMG! What are they going to do?

Moan away Molly!:l I don't know what I'd do with everything going topsy turvey like that! Well, at least they are still coming home for the wedding and if they have the 700 dollars-that takes away some of the stress. Hang in there Molly-I'm sure it will all work out.
The dog is awake and asking to go out. bacinabit. xxx

Morning Mario and Tips
Just checked the "Giant picnic Bastille day party" at the Versailles Gardens internet site!
They say if you show up dressed all in white-you get in free! This will save us almost 20 euros-which for me is a lot of yoyo's! Going to dig around for white clothes! Love child does not own too many white outfits for all the obvious reasons-boy, dirt, stains....:H.
I WILL find something. I wonder if they'll accept beige?
Alrighty, off to make picnic and iron white/beige outfits.
Have a happy sober day Army! xxx

Enjoy your long weekendGlad to hear things went well yesterday and I bet they'll go fine again today.
Sorry about the mess-up with your daughter and boyfriend. Finally they got part of what they wanted and now they can't take advantage of it. Not right now, anyway. Sure hope they can get things straightened around and go back after the wedding. Can they store their belongings somewhere so they don't have to ship them to Ireland and then back to Canada?
