I'm in too. I think I will hang up my buddist prayer flags as a reminder.

Buddhist Lent
I'm ready to get the first full week started. I've decided in addition to this, I'm going to spend the next 90 days refreshing my Spanish and playing more guitar. Have a great start to the week everyone!2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.

Buddhist Lent
I am still sober on a Monday morning ( I was never a morning drinker, just a late afternoon or night drinker)I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Buddhist Lent
Hello Buddhist Lenters!
I am in a hormonal time of the month so after tossing and turning all night I finally just decided to get up. (sigh)
Good thing this place has people up all times of the day and night from around the world!
I have been thinking lately that I need to find more of a spiritual belief system in my life. My husband and I go to church off and on, but I haven't really worked on finding any kind of connection. I think maybe I need to start meditating on that. Well, there's my thought for the day.
Dew - you sound like you're in the swing of things with the meditation! Mia, what are pray flags? That sounds really nice!
Hope you all enjoy a fantastic AF Wednesday!

Buddhist Lent
Hya...sorry...tripped up and back to day 1...but am still going to go for this Buddhist lent because am being given so many little signs and signals that this is the right thing for me...I know that sounds weird...
i.e. drank red wine yesterday after 10 clear days...as I just put the last bit in my glass, my daughter RANG from Bali...full of magic and sparkle talking and laughing and making plans for the home stretch in a few weeks.....
THEN next (sickly) morning I was given an arts project which involved making a ton of prayer flags which took up most of the day...during which I began to feel quite peaceful and not such a failure...
THEN when I went into the city that evening I saw pictures of a small procession from a few days earlier, some buddhists beginning Buddhist Lent and giving out information/talking to people etc...
Clinched it for me...as well as everything else...I need some spiritual nourishment and involvement..
so if you don't mind that I slipped up a bit...I would very much like to stick with this thread...xx...peace and quiet....and a cup of tea.....heaven:h

Buddhist Lent
Hi Queenbug,
Welcome back, this whole process can't be defined by one single moment - I think of it as more of a flow. Got to admit I had a bit of a craving yesterday. I was working outside in this excessive heat and my mind started thinking about how nice it would be to have a cold beer. Of course, for me, there is no such thing as one cold beer as it would have to be twelve or more. Anyway, I decided to "treat" myself instead to a green super food drink. Has anyone ever had this stuff? It's the most disgusting tasting thing ever!!! Craving squashed.2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.
