    Buddhist Lent

How is everyone, you all sound good so far? Queenbug just pick yourself up and keep going and don?t be sucked down by one mishap. Mylife I love meditation and I have been reading so much on spirituality this past year, I really need to feel a connection and involved in life. I am moving so far away from the materialistic things in life towards the simple things, and find more and more that becoming sober has allowed me to find myself, the real me, after all these years.

Tomorrow is Friday and I am looking forward to a peaceful weekend.

    Dewdrop :h
Enjoy today - there will be no other one quite like it....

Wow. That's more than twice as long as Catholic lent! But in Catholic lent you aren't supposed to have sex either, so I guess it's a fair trade.

I already have 90, but I'm in for the good karma.

        Buddhist Lent

I started listening to the secret meditaion last night before going to bed. It's very soothing and knocked me straight out. I am re-reading the conversations with God series. I start hatha yoga soon. It all seems to blend perfectly with Buddhist lent. Now I just have to figure out where to hang my prayer flags. I may even pop into the Buddhist temple for a meditaion session next week. Happy and Healthy here.

Started reading Awakening the Buddha Within by Lama Surya Das, running a lot and refreshing my spanish. The 90 day goals remain well intact. Absolutely no time to waste to alcohol and after 6 weeks without I'm not really thinking about it much. I really love sober living!

I'm AF and am doing well with a daily "something" in the spiritual arena. I have found a beautiful spot at the river's edge - a bit secluded wtih a bench and I stop there and listen to a guided meditation on my ipod.

I am a bit late but would love to join you guys for 90 days AF. I am on Day 3 now & am not planning to drink anymore. 90 days would be a cool start. And Buddhist Lent sounds very appealing.

                              Buddhist Lent

Day 70 af here and I am not going to drink today although I have been craving a beer all day.

My AL demon is saying 1 beer won't hurt, but I know better. I am starting to get better though, my AL demon is starting to give up. Course he isn't as strong as he used to be.
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Glad you mentioned having a craving today Drifty because I'm on day 49 and just yesterday and today I have been getting some serious cravings unlike anything I've had the previous 7 weeks. I'm fighting them off but kind of disappointed I'm having them in the first place. Guess that's the way it goes. I know from past experience they go away by not giving in or even considering giving in but they can be a real annoyance. Stay strong all!
